Yesterday around 2pm, it finally started to storm, and all the cloud to ground lighting was as mesmerizing in day as it is at night. and the Thunder! Awesome!
It has been raining non stop (maybe a few breaks) but a constant poor or drizzle for thee past 24 hours.

This is what peace is to me, the rain being the base chain of life, source of fresh water, erosion, plants growth.

I stare at the rain as it falls and wonder what the earth would be like if the simple molecules didn't fuse together, or be able to go from a liquid to a solid. if water could never turn to vapor, what would earth be like.

Everything works in perfect harmony to be able to have life flourish!
The rain falls, the grass grows, the cattle eat the grass, we eat the cattle, basic food chain. But all possible just because Hydrogen atoms, and Oxygen atoms fuse together to create water, which is heated to a point by the sun that allows it to evaporate into the air, leading up to the cool atmosphere causing it to condense into clouds, getting heavy enough to fall to the ground as rain, uncontrolled, and untouched by man.

It was nice, wasn't it Blake. After last year, I welcome the rain. I've lived in East Texas all my life and have seen hot weather, but I never want another summer like last year.

Come to the UK Blake - you would not love it all that much if you did. x

Jon, we welcome rain in the summer here. You should have seen the results of last summer. East Texas is a forrest. We had fires everywhere last year. I lost several trees in my yard.

That was beautiful and poetic Blake. Thank you!

Indeed my friend and I hope you get lots of it. I love animals and hate the thought of them getting burned to death in forest fires.

RIGHT! dude, fuck last year summer, everyone was indoors everyday. The Pool outside 7ft deep got up to 93degrees!! It was So hot for so long that the water almost matched the air! we hit a record last year for 90 days+ of Triple digit weather.

Im sure people in phoenix are like "Big Deal." but here in texas.. we got the heat, and the humidity! yea it feels not too bad 110` in Phoenix dry, but put that with 90% humidity, it will kill you. Uhg, and my air conditioning went out last year! I serious would have to bring a shirt cuz i knew i would sweat in what i was wearing. So bad.

Some people just don't realize how much humidity we have here, even 200 or more miles from the coast. That makes temperatures feel a lot hotter in the summer. The temperatures are nice right now with that rain we've had. I don't know how you survived last summer without an air conditioner. I had a hard enough time in the air conditioning.

Thats why the 5 times I have been to the USA I've always gone to the West coast.

wow, some intense stuff guys. lol

Yeah i was just talking about what i was thinking while watching the rain outside. So peaceful.

I too enjoy watching from my window while it rains outside. It is relaxing. The only weather I find more relaxing than that is watching it snow.

Well like Jon said the rain can get tiresome sometimes. But the outcome of the rain in Seattle is (it is beautiful here). Green trees, no smog, awesome lakes and majestic mtns. When the sun does shine everybody is soooo happy. I see and here of other places people live and i don't see myself moving anytime soon. I have a home in Arizona where I thought I would eventually retire and golf everyday, but when I go down there I have fun but look forward to my return home to the cold and rain.

Hi Peter - yes I like AJ too.

I've always wanted to go to Alaska (I assume Seattle is in Alaska but maybe I'm wrong). I remember reading a book at school about a dog called Buck (I cannot remember the books title) and I believe a film was made of it. The scenery was beautiful so of all the places in America I would like to visit scenic wise is Alaska and the Rockies which I believe most is in Colorado. If I've got any of this incorrect don't slate me - don't forget I'm a Brit....

Seattle is in the state of Washington, just south of Alaska! Also the NW most state in the continental US. I'm only about a 2 hour drive to Vancouver, Canada. Hey I watched the Queens celebration of her 60yrs, man i just love that sappy shit!lol

Well I was quite near lol. I'm glad you liked the Diamond Jubilee celebrations dude. The only sad thing is that her husband the Duke of Edinburgh is still in hospital with a bladder infection. I hope he pulls through it, he's 91 on Monday.

Sarah Palan can probably see your house from her backyard.
