Please remember how lucky, blessed & fortunate we are to even have access to this website and be able to indulge in the pleasures of the flesh the way we choose with whom we love and want. Pray persecution of LGBTs comes to an immediate end (no matter how impossible it might seem to you).

Islamic State posts photos of ‘gay’ thrown off building and stoned to death

Be careful! It's the third known Islamic State anti-LGBT murder of this kind. This comes weeks after the League of the Righteous beheaded two supposedly gay teenagers, then threw their heads in garbage, in Iraq.

It's inhumane. We, in America, treat our dogs better. Other than some bullying and name-calling and a sparse few "beatings", we are indeed more fortunate than some other parts of the world. In the name of religion? They think so, but I doubt that very sincerely. However, there are those who think a Republican majority in both houses will begin to repeal Obama's "gifts" to us. Already in Texas, Kansas, and a couple of other states, there is legislation to amend their states' constitution to allow any business, restaurant, establishment to refuse service to gays. Also proposed is a business' right to fire anyone they "think" is gay. So, pack a lunch if traveling across the country by car. We apparently will be denied food. (BTW they are all Red states wanting to repeal all gay rights) Marriage equality is on the agenda as well, after January.
Of course we are not as persecuted as Middle East, Russia, Uganda (hanging) Sudan (burn alive), et. al. But it could get there if we don't become pro-active. The movement has just begun, it is far from over. Fight for our equality every chance you get. Don't pass on a chance to talk one on one, sign a petition, a phone call, a letter, a march. The Christians want to send you to a "conversion" camp. And they also want a religious state, like Islam, ruled by the Bible. Every page of that book has a reason to go to war.

However, let us not forget how we got here. Our country is not untarnished in it's history concerning hate and crimes against gay and lesbian people. Today we have a Congressional Act called the Matthew Shepard act which was signed into law in 2009 by President Obama.

I STRONGLY suggest you watch this documentary in it's entirety. It shows where we've been and where we are today. Although such crimes still occur, we do have the protection of the law.

Hi Louis,

I can appreciate how far we've come. It's progress. But the journey is not complete. People's hearts have to open so they can see the truth. When your church teaches hate and discrimination, that is a big obstacle to overcome. My cousin has 2 grandchildren, 14 and 16. They will mow you (me) down with scripture and preaching on your (my) lifestyle. For some reason, when they talk, all I hear is the word "hell". They have never heard my story of coming to a personal relationship with God. He smiles and says "The Lord Won't Mind".
Yes, we have much to be thankful for. But keep the conversation alive, when you can. It may take several generations.

I have the Shepard move, and this documentary. It brings tears of how unfair everything is at times. Something we don't hear much about (maybe people aren't interested) is the number of homeless gays, suicide, disappearances,, (kidnapping), police brutality, and much more. It all still exists, maybe to a lesser extent. We still have to fight the fight. We do still have enemies (about half the population).
