That's actually a great question. It is a fact that young men are better looking than in generations past.

I've seen pictures of boys in my parents' generation through looking in their yearbooks...not ugly, but not as nice looking as even our generation. And I've seen pictures of young men in my grandfather's generation and even before, in the late 19th Century, and they are even more plain than my father's classmates.

My theory: Women have not changed as dramatically as men...they have always been somewhat beautiful. Perhaps mixing her beauty genes with her average looking husband's genes equals a better looking junior...and so on through the generations.
