Active Duty is a good example of that deterioration after sale. The old AD had live shows with many AD models who happily interacted with the fans. The models that work for smaller studios come & go, there will be a new model whose first site is FratX and who has such a bad experience, they think all porn studios are like FratX and never want to film porn again. Then you get the guys that just got out of jail that have severe mental issues, the drug addicts, the "hood rats" that want to film porn and arrive at the porn studio to either have an STD or have a mental breakdown or both. Compared to the huge companies, we get the "bottom feeders" of porn talent.

Then you have to factor in the unique position we are in when casting for Broke Straight Boys site. Hence the boy has to be BROKE (which is common in most of these guys) STRAIGHT (which is the major part of the site and the theme of the site) BOY (the guy has to have a boyish younger look) so with this unique theme, we have our work cut out of us when it comes to casting the correct models for Broke Straight Boys

Since the talent pool has shrunk over many years, we don't get the type of guys that normally we did in the past. For whatever reason, many guys are not applying for porn. You are not going to be to everyone’s liking, but you stand out as unique and are the polar opposite of all the words and phrases you used to describe the typical performers today.

Very true. Virtually all of the mainstream porn sites these days are just rotating the same actors around. The scenes are all pretty much identical and other than the background on the set, the performance is identical. And of the boys are all cookie-cutter-boys as you put it. boredom sets in quickly. And the guys who just go straight to OF or similar, are doing their thing, more or less. But depending on the person, those scenes are often either poorly done or repetitive as well. After all, it doesn't matter how good-looking or creative the models are, if the lighting is bad or the camera angles are off, the scene is not good.

I think you've really hit it with "cookie cutter boys." Many models seem to be striving to look like everyone else. They think that there's an ideal look to aspire to. That's just flat-out wrong. Standing out, being unique, having a personality means there are plenty of people who won't want you because you don't fit their mold. But there will be many who want you precisely because you're unique. They'll be more loyal, because if there's only one Brock, or one Archie, you'll be everyone's first choice. (The interaction helps, too. Personality and some degree of connection helps set you apart.)
