In Europe during the soccer championships Russian and English hooligans are raping, maiming and murdering over which nation's team is better.
In England we were treated to the spectacle of a celebration of 90 year old woman, the Queen and her opulently costumed family arrogantly believing they are entitled to receive at taxpayer expense every single thing their hearts desire because they have been mindfucked along with the British public to believe that they have a right to exist on everyone else's sacrifices of blood and sweat. This is psychological violence and is miseducation.
In the US there has been a history of targeted hatred since colonial times (Spain and England) that the American Indian Nations (called Red Injuns by the Whites) were less then human as well as the forcibly imported as property for sale Africans (called Blacks by the Whites) and all women were considered to be walking children. Whites in the South fought viciously to maintain a social system that placed all Blacks below all Whites in all aspects of American life. Whites in the North agreed and so after the Civil War began a period of intense segregation supported by terror from 1876 to 1965. The terror took place in the workplace because Blacks were not allowed to progress to certain managerial jobs because they were Black and could not have supervisory rights over White workers. This was economic lynching. Physical lynchings occurred throughout the South to target over-educated and confident Blacks who dared to speak up to defend their Constitutional rights and Human dignity.

Homosexuals need to remember that too many of the White ones were active supporters of the social, political and economic terror that intentionally harmed Blacks, American Indian nations, dark-skinned Mexicans and Latinos. US President James Buchanan is an excellent example of a privileged gay man who along with his partner US Senator Rufus King actively supported the legal terror of slavery for all Blacks and the banishing of American Indian nations to non-arable land.

The LGBTQ is NOT a single community but instead a series of fragmented groups wherein many of the White LGBTQers view themselves as naturally superior to LGTBQers who are Black, dark-skinned Latinos/Latinas, some Asians, and some American Indian nations. How many of you have had friends make racist statements directed at non-White homosexuals? How many of you have laughed at such anti-human dignity supporting statements? Failure to support actively the human dignity of non-White LGBTQers IS also a major contributor to the daily psychological terror with which too many non-White LGTBQers must deal as they attempt to go out to enjoy a night on the town in what should be a welcoming safe LGBTQ space.

There is a lot of work to do in the LGBTQ communities so that it no longer contributes to harming people.

This horrid shooting was terror but it does make all LGBTQers saints. There is much work to do to overcome America's history of racism that continues well-supported among too many White homosexuals and becomes self-hatred for too many non-White homosexuals.

I usually don't respond to "caribou" posts, but I have to commend you on a post that I largely agree with.
