how do you get your font to change and change color???? help me tampa

Hi John Henry, xo

If you click the arrow to the right of the Font tab above your posting page, it has a drop-down menu with all the fonts you can choose from. The same goes for colors. Click it and a drop-down scroll bar appears. If you use the Go Advanced option you have a few more choices in the tool bar to get fancier with your post. For instance I'm fond of clicking the Go Advanced tab and also using the Center alignment feature.

Instead of your post looking the ordinary way like this...

It can look like this.

In the post above to get it to look like that, I cheated on the font and ignored the Font tab altogether. To save time I just clicked the 'B' Bold type tab. lol I also clicked the 'A' tab allowing me to choose the blue color. And as I said, I used the Center alignment of script key to pull everything away from the usual left alignment.

Unfortunately the software of the forum program is not very user friendly when it comes to getting fancy with posts. They take patience, time and concentration to get exactly right. It's a very good idea to keep using the Preview Post option before you try to send a fancy message. Chances are very good that you'll need to go back and fix something.

I'm deliberately using small case letters to explain this because if I used the proper Full Caps, it might jumble up this post with some odd looking stuff.

This is what you hope to see when you have a post ready to send. The center box will not really have the asterisks inside. I had to do that to keep the sentence from becoming disjointed. It's just CENTER with the two brackets. [*****]

[*center*] Happy Birthday!!

Notice that all of the detailed options are to the left of your typed in message. They will be in ALL CAPS when you're doing it for real. To the right of your message you'll see that All of the boxes of options have the forward slash directly in front of the selection. The left side does not have any.

If you have a message ready that looks like this: Happy Birthday!! ...It'll be a mess. It will get the size right. But the color will not work. Or if this happens...[Happy Birthday!!/size] you're still screwed. lol

Fortunately you can manually fix these and type some of these in yourself if you accidently erase them or if they're just in the wrong spot. Just use the [ key, the ] key, the forward slash / key, etc. And remember the ALL CAPS.

I hope that helps and that I haven't thoroughly confused everyone. :) haha
