I’m just curious what some of you think about guys who wear fingernail polish. I see A LOT of guys these days wearing polish. Mostly like a dark blue or black. I’ll share my opinion later but I’m just curious what y’all think…lol.

Not my thing, but I assume these guys are young. My parents and other older people didn’t like long hair or the “hippy look” when I was young, so it’s probably just generational with me. It is much as heavily tattooed guys don’t turn me on either, but if they and their contemporaries are into it, it is fine with me.

We are in full agreement on all you said, Mike.

I'm not much into painted nails on guys neither, but I would not call it a turn-off. In some cases, it can be a good thing if it helps improve the look of their nails, but other than that, I prefer short, well-groomed natural nails on guys.

Jay...you must have our office/home bugged because we have had this conversation in past few days. We have guys that arrive with nail polish. Its the new style today. I was even in Disney World this past Thanksgiving and saw a lot of "straight" guys wearing nail polish and your correct, its either black or a darker blue.

I am 54 years old so this is strange to me, but it looks kind of cool. I think being 54years old and surrounding myself with younger guys, make me feel and think younger. In our time it was fashionable to get tattoos and the guys wore earrings, now its painting the nails and wearing "high socks" seems to be in fashion.

I *think* that if your 45years old and up, you are not going to get this new thinking of this new generation. Its my generation or at least 45 and up are set in there ways and can't accept fashion changing...if a guy paints his nails we already assume he's "gay"...or if a guy's sexuality is in questions or calls himself Pansexual, or bisexual...he is gay...if a guy likes to walk around with a manly pocket-book, he is "gay".

I just think times are changing and just like my generation, the older generation before my generation didn't understand our fashion and music and as we get older, we are turning into our "parents" and can't understand these new changes or at least accept them without thinking otherwise.

My personal feeling, I think its cool and sexy on a guy...if he wears black or dark blue nail polish.
Business wise if I film guys here on Broke Straight Boys and they are wearing nail polish, forget it...we will get all kinds of crazy feedback and remarks. Heck, you guys hate when the models wear socks...LOL...so can you imagine the feedback we will get if the guy comes here and is wearing nail polish...LOL.

At 78 I am of that older generation you speak of & I have learned to accept & welcome these changes just as part of life & trying to be unique & yourselves just as you did.

I am 71 and feel the same way br. When I was 18-22 in college and I kept hearing older people say how long hair on guys and bell bottom jeans, and sideburns and facial hair were ugly, I decided right then that I would always be open minded and accept the new generations version of, “letting their freak flag fly”, as we called it.

I worked for over thirty years as manager of a business where we employed teens and college age guys after school and during the summer and I saw lot’s of different hair styles and clothing during those thirty years and always kept an open mind. I did come to one conclusion and that is if a guy is hot, he looks good in any kind of clothes or with any hair style or body art. The bottom line is hot is hot.

Always grateful to hear your comments, especially when we differ. But here we are in total agreement!

Totally agree

My dad was career Navy and my brother and I had high n dry haircuts or the classic wax stick flat top all through our childhood. In high school I wanted to grow my hair out - think the Ed Sullivan Beatles sort of cut. That was the start of WWIII which continued right up through my late 20s and early 30s. I swore to myself that I would never attack anyone over their choices when it came to hair, body art, or clothing. It has sometimes been difficult but I have kept to it. Nail polish does not bother me although I would never do it myself. It is like the shaved chicken look in body hair - not my thing but I'm not doing it. There is one porn actor out there, Blake Wilder who sported a rather impressive appendage and did a couple of videos where his nails were covered in what appeared to be yellow and some contrasting pattern on them. It looked quite nice.

Yes, I saw this teen aged Californian surfer's debut on Stag Collective (recently acquired and merged into Next Door Studios) with no nail polish and then the nail polish appearing in his ensuing scenes. It was an attention getter and OK in that regard, but to be honest his young big surfer cock pounding ass was the greater attention getter!

Being from Seattle every trend is acceptable in our city, hell we started a few!!! So nail polish, tats, piercings etc are okay with me, however I'm not much of a fan of the shaving pubes (which I've noticed in porn it seems to be going away) also I'm not much of a fan of the pearl necklace fad going on right now. I think it looks stupid!!! lol Starting in the late 80's early 90's the grunge look here was very popular and kind of still is, but back then I was in heaven with all the hot boys in Seattle. Funny comment that Ronan Kennedy said to me when he was here back in March " everybody here dresses the same" I was wearing shorts and a flannel shirt lololol

Ok. I have returned to this thread because I saw a porn with a guy wearing fingernail polish and it reminded me that I never really gave much of an opinion on a thread I started. It’s a big pass for me, guys. I’m just not into it. I certainly don’t mind seeing it on guys in public, but in the bedroom I’m gonna have to bounce. Lol. The thought of looking down on someone stroking and sucking my dick with fingernail polish on? Not for me. Sorry if I have offended anyone. Lol.

I'm kinda with you Arkangel. I admit I was surprised when I started seeing it for the first time on guys. Or at least on straight or straight-ish guys. As David has already alluded to, it is a thing here in Florida. I'm not sure if it's a full national trend yet, or if it's still somewhat regional at this point. As for my opinion, I didn't like it at first. But I've gotten used to it. And I see mostly what David has seen so far. It's mostly either the black or various shades of dark blue.

Though admittedly those guys going specifically for the "Goth" look have been painting their nails black for a few decades now. And nobody paid it much attention. haha

I’m not against it but before we get down to business I’m gonna need him to grab the cutex.

It has been around a long time with both gay & straight guys just a way to rebel against older folks. I have no problem with it unlike tats when overly used.
