While perusing MSN this afternoon, I saw an article that made what I thought was one of the dumbest statements I've ever heard. It says that, because an election is never decided by a single vote, that it's irrational to vote. See the full article here: (http://t.news.msn.com/politics/voters-dedicated-despite-1-in-millions-odds)
WTF?
Now, the article does give positive reasons for voting, but it lets that statement hang out there. Come on, People! The notion of THE deciding vote is nothing more than myth. There is no single vote that decides the outcome of an election since no single vote has any meaning in the absence of all the rest. Not to be cliche, but EVERY vote counts. Every single vote - regardless of candidate - is A deciding vote because it's all of them together that determine the outcome. And every vote not cast is also a deciding vote. It's a decision to let other people decide for you - to give up your voice.
Find your voice. Speak your truth. Go... Vote... now!!!
