I like Gage Owens, but even his return has not been enough to keep me as a member and so I have cancelled my subscription today. I don't like the spacing of the release of models films, I hated the solo sessions and I have not like the over use of Jos Alvarez or taken to Masyn Thorne.

There used to be a pattern. The videos would always drop at the same time. I want to say it was 7pm PT/10 pm ET on the day new videos dropped. It was a small thing that we members appreciated. We've asked for a pattern, a schedule, a routine, anything ... but management always has an excuse not to do it. Some nonsense about new software blah, blah, blah. We've also asked for a consistent preview of new boys that are filming or coming up, and they did a fairly decent job of doing it on twitter (if they remembered to do it, of course), but given the pandemic and the reduced schedule of filming, all of that is out the window.

I watched this pre-scene last night (Wed.). I was so irritated and mad that I knew better to comment then or my outrage might lead me to saying things in such a way that would distress me. So I waited until now. And as is my wont I will be frank and pull no punches.

When Gage Owens first came to us, I found him to be a pleasant, personable young man. He always seemed to give 100% to scenes; and even though a bit nelly, I could readily accept him as a top. That was then. In the video welcoming him back to Broke Straight Boys, he discussed what he has been up to including the traumatic breakup with his boyfriend, but how that has freed him to be a whole nother person, free of the pressures he felt in the past. Well, if this is the new Gage Owens, then as far as I'm concerned he can get the next flight out of Atlanta and never darken our studios again. He has turned into an an officious, impolite, bitchy little queen. This showed in his oral scene with Lucas. And continues here. While I couldn't hear all of it given both of them talking softly, I heard enough. The fact that he thinks he deserves some type of special respect puzzles me. Is it because he thinks he's got seniority here? That is bullshit. Your 3 year time away breaks the seniority chain, pal! Also I found his comments and answers to Sha's queries and observations to be not only impolite, but also disrespectful to Sha.

Then, while I gave a few light kudos to Lucas for not taking any shit from Gage Owens, it is also obvious that he possesses some of those same negatives. But were they only present as a defense mechanism against Gage Owens or are they ingrained traits? Only time will tell I can only hope that they are not deeply implanted in his personality so that when he is paired with another partner, he will show a more positive, pleasant character.

All I know for now, after watching this pre-scene, I have no great desire to watch the scene and will get around to it when I have some spare time. As to this pre-scene, in order to register my extreme displeasure I gave the lowest grade of 1 all around.

Quite honestly when watching the pre-scene interview yesterday, I said nothing, but I had a very similar reaction to your's Stowe and I too am in no rush to watch this scene and as with many current scenes, in great probability I will not.

Stowe, you have been a constant and loyal member of the site and forum since 2011, and I have been here even longer. I believe that members who joined in more recent years do not care as much as we do if the current models have anything in the slightest to do with the original concept of the site, pushing straight boys to expand their sexual limits for money. That was then and this is now.

However I still love the history of the site, the archives, the forum and the occasional introduction of a model who reminds me somewhat of the old days, and so as long as the subscription rate is not increased, I intend to remain a member, but it is not for the vast majority of current content provided.

I also viewed Gage Owens as obnoxious in the pre scene interview. In gay porn, how old you are is important, but how old you look can be even more important. Lucas looks younger than his 26 years, and Gage Owens looks older than his 30 years. Part of it is Lucas being tattoo free (loved his line that he had zero tattoos because "my body is a temple"), and Gage Owens having marred his appearance with excessive ugly tattoos (look at his profile pic in "The Boys" section when he first joined Broke Straight Boys years ago, and contrast it with his looks now). The pre scene attitudes carried over into the scene. I gave Lucas five stars and Gage Owens three stars. Lucas did his best, but he needs a better scene partner.

I vote for Mikeyank to be Mayor of Broke Straight Boys His idea of having one thread for the pre scene, scene itself and post scene was an excellent one, as are most of his ideas with the exception of which New York baseball team to root for!
