I want to explain why I don't like the ratings and why I think they are flawed and a joke. It's just a personal opinion I have had since the beginning....no offense to anyone. I do participate in them, because I rarely score anyone low individually, but as I go through the highest rated, I can't help but roll my eyes from time to time. And then when I start seeing models that are deceased, it makes me extremely sad. I don't expect anyone to feel the same way...I'm just a sensitive person, I know. There are just too many people that click stars without even watching a scene or caring about someone that worked extremely hard to do a good job. I see ratings on scenes all the time when they've only been released 3 minutes. I just think clicking a star takes 1 second. I really don't take it that serious...lol, sorry. Elijah Scott is sitting over on page 12 of highest rated, and that don't mean a thing to me.....I LOVE Elijah Scott and that's all that matters to me. I don't care if nobody else does, because he could sit on my face and suffocate me with that sweaty football players ass any day of the week. It doesn't really even phase me that Ethan Steel is on page 6. He is sexy as hell and still has many scenes left to debut. He could surprise us all and give us water sports and felching in his next scene....hell, anything is possible.

I appreciate it when you offer your opinions on such matters Jay, as you are obviously as vested in Broke Straight Boys as I am and you do have so much info on the current models on the site, so your opinions are both interesting and informed.

I have to assume that the ratings are important as several models over the years have come on the forum and asked how can they improve their ratings, and if there is anything specific that we want them to do. Of course that is a "loaded question" as there is no general "we" when it comes to forumites. "We" are a wide and varied group and what you Jay may enjoy seeing in a scene may be very different from what I want. But I would have to imagine that management tells the models that their ratings are an important factor in getting them to return to film more scenes, as many different one's from different eras have all said the same thing on that issue.

And while some members may carefully study the scenes before issuing a vote, and others click on the rating before even watching, I do believe that they all average out to determine a fair rating to indicate what the majority of viewers are thinking. And I very much enjoy the mixing of ALL model's ratings ever on the site from 2007 through the present. It is like comparing top movie stars from the 20's through today or top ball players. I love it when a current baseball player passes a record performed by Lou Gehrig back in the 1930's. And the fact that some of our models have passed away does not diminish what they once did here just as Marilyn Monroe or James Dean are still considered Hall of Famers despite their early passing's.

My point is I love these discussions and I love your passion Jay for all things Broke Straight Boys I am more focused on the earlier era's stars and you more so on today's stars, but it is all Broke Straight Boys and it has always been a Blu Media company and Mark has always owned the site through all the producers and directors from the beginning, and I love this forum where we an all offer our thoughts and opinions. I guess I have a lot of love in my heart this afternoon. lol

The scene has been released earlier than I expected and I watched it. Perhaps this was Tanner's first scene back as he mentioned at the beginning that it has been a year and a half for him, but there was no real conversation about why he left, what he's been up to and why he is now back. Hopefully at some point during his shoot week there was a fuller discussion or perhaps a BTS filmed, as Tanner is one of the more popular models in recent years, and the fans do want to know.

As far as the scene itself, I still think that Ethan is one sexy motherfucker and I love his youthful straight boy attitude as well as his slim smooth body and pretty face, but I am convinced that he may be too straight to succeed at gay for pay porn.
