well looks like 3 san franciscans experienced the"shaker" 3 diff ways.
JOHNNY was awakened, JUANJO was asleep, and luckily? did not panic.
I on the other hand, was wide awake with one hand on the keyboard logged in to
Broke Straight Boys,
and the other hand on my ----when the room started to shake.
What freaked me out was, earlier in the day, I told a friend I'm getting a "feeling" that
San Francisco will have a shaker b4 the end of this month,
because there's been major weather catastrophe all over the
globe, and aside from our forest fires,
the real "phenom", "the BIG ONE" (predicted to occur within 50 yrs since the late 70's)
has been keeping us all on the edge since the last major 7.++ occurred in 1989.
Anyhu, I set my jacket with my wallet, etc by the stairs in case any aftershock will cause me to scurry out my building.
My apartment was built in the 1920's, and I am 2 blocks away from the Marina area which is on landfill, and was the most damaged
in 1989 with buildings on fire or squashed to the ground.
I turned on the TV but by 4:15, there were still no BREAKING NEWS about an earthquake.
I looked out the window and the street was silent. BY 4:20, NO aftershock.
I live along a steep down grade street, and EVERYTIME a large truck drives down the street,
my building "rattles".
I then begun to wonder if I just imagined it all. Maybe my other hand on my ---- caused
the "jerky" movement ?
Well, I lost every desire to continue my hand exploration and went to bed by 4:30.
My phone woke me up @ 8, my brother in-law from Rome, sent me a TXT that they heard about the quake.
