He recognized (recognised) another Brokie from another site. I just watched the trilogy all in one sitting and really liked it. I accepted the very limited premise that David insisted was true: "...he really is deaf, and he really needs the money to go to Germany, right?" All the rest of it was fine with me. Brendan, playing the secretly gay guy who was hung up on his deaf, "mulatto" friend, was too bored with the sex to be altogether sincere about his infatuation, and the straight deaf kid was too stiff while he was being routinely shafted by Bored Brendan to be really straight, and it turns out that closet gay Brenden is anyway a porn star in another life, but hey, David did a great job with them and it's all fantasy and only porn...

Anyway he was way beyond much better in the Broke Straight Boys trilogy than on Bad Puppy, even if his credentials as a smitten buddy with a driver's license looked fake to me...
On the other hand he might have been real, and only went on to film with bp after getting a taste of it here.

Well,I think Brendan Black deserves an Emmy nomination! Oh, wait, this isn't TV! OK then, perhaps a porn award for his portrayals. First we discover he's really not straight (oh, what a surprise!), and now we discover he's really, Brendan Black, twink porn star.
Hmmm. Oh well, at least he is cute and has a fabulous body and penis.
Donovan was an okay view as well. Still, something seems not quite right with him, just can't put my finger on it. He consistently looks like "a deer caught in the headlights". It almost made me uncomfortable to see that look, so consistent. Made me think he was terrified of what he was doing. Or, he's really not deaf at all and was working really hard at keeping from being discovered. I thought it interesting that he only uttered a sound once, the entire time. All that writing back and forth also seemed staged, for this time in the 21st century. I have worked with the deaf and Donovan really did not act like someone who was all that deaf. Even a deaf-mute is capable of emitting sound, specially in the throes of sexual bliss. And I say bliss because he certainly seemed to enjoy himself!
So, does it matter? Yes, if you are hard core about this site and ONLY want to view Broke Straight Boys And no, if you found the shoots entertaining and they contributed to your own blissful moments. Were they memorable? I think not, notice how they have already fallen completely off the " Favorites" list, which they held momentarily.
Oh well, life goes on. And so do the updates! thank goodness!
