Do you download videos?

I personally do not. But for many forumite friends of mine over the years it is a deal breaker. They need to download or they will not pay for a site.

I definitely agree. Definitely not going to change the ability for members to download . I was wondering because it is hard to tell who is here pirating our videos and we keep track of top downloaders. We deal with lots of our content being sold on other sites, rebranded and all sorts of crazy stuff. We have even had people put up a pay wall and charge for it.

I'm sorry you have to go through that. I'm sure it's a double edged sword as it's expensive to hire attorneys to go after them in the courts, but hopefully you are issuing DMCA takedowns.

Curious if you download videos how many videos do you download? I have people downloading a lot but I can't tell if they are pirates stealing our content. Our limit is 10-15 per day which seems like a lot to me.

So now we’re down to 5? This is frustrating, because now it will take me weeks or months to recover everything I lost over night. I only watch Broke Straight Boys scenes after I download and watch on my TV in the privacy of my bedroom. I delete the ones that don’t interest me. 5 seems way too little. Just my opinion.

I only download videos to watch offline for my own use only.

@BrokeStraightBoys I have a feeling that seasoned pirates make use of advanced tools, incl. scrapers and fetchers in order to bypass system limits. They can even bulk download.

The best thing may be to use an ID system that can trace each video to the one who downloaded it.

@Jaybifla @chac54 A particular extreme pirate site was recently discovered. It illegally hosts up to hundreds of scenes from each studio it steals from. Broke Straight Boys is among those sites—they upload all the latest updates!!!

It's a matter of the courts and governments—world governments—choosing to protect content creators instead of pirates. Pirates now feel like they have immunity—it's so blatant!
