I'm quite surprised that no one has posted about this yet.

Our prime minister David Cameron faced questions on British history and culture during an appearance on the David Letterman show. The PM got many questions right but was unable to say what Magna Carta meant in English or who wrote the words and music of Rule Britannia.
I saw a few clips of the show and felt that the introduction music was rather tacky but overall this was a light hearted interview. Not many leaders would appear on this type of show and I felt that apart from those 2 questions, which really are irrelevant, that DC actually gave a good interview.

Most impressed by PM David Cameron

Dear jon,

I didn't get to watch the Letterman Show on the 26th when David Cameron boldly went one-on-one with David Letterman. I found your PM to be delightful to watch. So delightful in fact that I felt he was worthy of having a link of his entire interview from the opening of the show's entertainment up to his exit. I think he represented the UK every well, regardless of his couple of minor historical gaffes. David Letterman delights in putting his guests on the spot, but your PM was undaunted by his attemtps to intimidate. Bravo!

I included the clip for anybody that might have missed the show like me.

Sincerely,

Stimpy

letterman: 'boy it would be great if you knew this!'
cameron: 'yeah! it would be!'
david cameron handling tough questions.
well done!

I wonder how Mr Obama would handle a British interviewer, say like David Dimbleby ? Guess he would do a good job but there again Mr D wouldn't ask pretty dumb questions, we respect the interviewee too much. But this was a light hearted show and DC took it that way.
