Congratulations to American golfer Phil Mickelson who won the British Open golf tournament at Muirfield in Scotland by 3 shots. He is the first person to have won both the Scottish and British Open championships in the same era. Phil won £950,000 today.

Which is $1,400,000 in American dollars, not bad for 4 days of Golf. I won $12.00 Friday from the other 3 players haha. Jon I'm surprised you referred it to the "British Open" most English and European folks call it "The Open". Did you watch a lot a of the tourney? I love watching golf but I can't swing a club for the life of me. I've tried time and time again but now I have given up, which is surprising because I'm quite good at sports such as cricket, tennis and squash.

Yes it is called The Open but I'd thought I'd put British in in case people didn't understand.
