Comment section artfully deleated on all the episodes

This is my first post after almost 3 years as a member.
All the comment sections have been removed.
I guess management couldn't stand the heat.
So much for freedom of speech.
This does not bode well for this site.
I have always read these comments, the good and the bad , as a barometer of members feelings on the models. etc..
Sinking ship syndrome is on the horizon!!!!

Wierd. I had noticed there were no comments, or ability to comment on new scenes recently, and was disappointed (even though I usually just read and don't contribute). After reading miami's comment I checked a few again, didn't see them, so logged in to the forums to post what I did. After Peter's post I looked again and now I see them heh. Figured it might be something where you have to be logged into the forums to see them now, but I logged out, refreshed some pages and still do, so not sure what the issue is.

I noticed that I was missing that section too after the last solo, and saw that all of my comment pages were gone. I too thought that management had enough of the blunt comments there, but after checking with both Peter and johnny, they both still had theirs. Peter took a perverse pleasure in knowing I was bring left out of the loop, being such a "yenta" that I am. lol

But I wrote to Chuck and Mark Thursday and yesterday, and this morning Mark told that it appeared to be a bug and now all my comment pages are back.

Thank you Rafe for "understanding" me. And actually re-reading my post, I see that the punctuation made it come out wrong. I should have said,

Mark, despite issues I've had with you over the years regarding aspects of this site, I always complement you for giving us the freedom to say what we choose here on the forum, be it positive or negative. But if you had censored the comment pages, I would of understood, as those folks can be brutal. But thank you for keeping that open too.

Thanks Mark. Actually, I have an issue: I've been using porn as a way to heighten my sexual pleasure...is this a problem?

I am relieved to see the bug concerning the comments section has been resolved. That said I did want to comment on one small issue to me at least. Free speech as that term is used in the United States at least refers to a specific provision of the US Constitution which only applies to government censorship of speech and forbids it in all but a few very specific occasions. When it comes to individuals speaking to other private individuals or to companies and indeed on a bulletin board on a commercial website such as this the right of free speech allows you to speak and the hearer to shut you down if they so choose to do so. Just as if you were to waltz into my house or stand on my property and speak in a manner I disagreed with, I could order you to stop or to leave, a business can if they wish remove your posts, censor them, ban you from speaking or simply cut off the bulletin board entirely.

Agree Mikeyank and the truth is I have only seen comments removed or commenters banned when they really stepped out of line. Much more tolerant than I might have been if I were the one with the power to block quite frankly.

My point is much more general really since many people somehow seem to think that freedom of speech is some sort of overarching liberality which allows them to say whatever they wish and whenever they wish, without fear of any repercussions. That if course is not true even when it comes to the government. Free speech is a wonderful thing and I believe in it wholeheartedly. But free speech means one get sot say their piece and then others can if they so wish express their opinion on the position taken by the original speaker, whether in favor or against. In fact sometimes extremely negatively against. This is of course is a point brought home here by some of the comment occasionally made by those who disagree with something someone else has said or done.

Mark is truly quite liberal in his policing here and I applaud him for that.

Likewise as I have often commented online in various places such as Facebook when people for example attack Obama for being a horrendous tyrant that were he the tyrant they claim he is, the fence surrounding the White House would be decorated with the heads of more than a few of the people who excoriate him on a daily basis, especially those posting the attacks of him on line such as the commentators I am addressing.

On a more important note, the best of the season to you Mikeyank. I am looking forward to the night of the 16th and first candle lighting. Today I am starting to prepare the various cookies and the marscapone cake my family loves to serve for the first night. Oh and Target had a truly horrendous Chanukah sweater which compare nicely with any Christmas sweater I have seen in recent years so I have bought one to wear that night.
