I am mainly a reader, but do watch some television. I am going to list some some shows that I consider "classic." My definition of "classic" is that I can watch them 5, 10, 20 years later and still enjoy them. I think they are "classic" for two reasons. First, the writing. And second, the casting. This is not a complete list, but just some early morning typing. Share some of your favorites.

Fawlty Towers (PBS - British)
Mary Tyler Moore Show
Monty Python (PBS - British)
Mash
3rd Rock From The Sun
Alfred Hitchcock Presents
All In The Family
Big Bang Theory
Twilight Zone
Bob Newhart Show
Cold Case

A good list but don’t forget.

Barney Miller
Frazier
Cheers
Hill Street Blues
St Elsewhere
Beverly Hillbillies
Green Acers
WKRP
And many more really great old shows.

Star Trek (Original)
The Carol Burnett Show
Mary Tyler Moore
The Waltons
Among many many more...

I found a photo of this hunky actor in his prime who played in many classic films. Who can guess who it is?

You got it Denny. :thumbup1: I wonder if that phone call "made his day". haha Wasn't he handsome with all that baby fat still?

Oh Boy, Thank You Tampa I am not used to winning things! So do I get to pick out my own prize? I have a few things in mind. hehehe ..:001_tt1:

I am showing my age here.

Howdy Doody was huge when I was a kid
Texaco Star Theater (Milton Berle) Milton had the biggest dick in Hollywood.

I was born in 1945. We didn't get a television until around 1952-3. Many of the shows then were based on the old radio shows. Some of these shows had an audience share that current productions can only dream about. The TV's were powered by tubes, and there was actually people you could call that would come to your home to repair the television.

I love this thread as it has brought back many wonderful memories. Many thanks to you Mr. Tim for starting it...

I only remember Milton Berle as an old fossil who did a guest role or two on reruns of "I love Lucy". How do you know he had a big dick? Just mildly curious.

It is quite well known in Hollywood about the size of Milton's appendage, and in the latter years of his life, he became a semi regular guest on the Howard Stern radio show, and in fact that was the only subject that Howard wanted to ask Milton about.

It was hilarious as Milton would try to promote an appearance or a re release of a tape or a DVD, and Howard kept asking "Uncle Miltie" about his legendary dick. I do recall Milton actually telling a story on Howard's show about a contest he had with another legendary Hollywood "dickmiester", Forest Tucker. Hey, if you got it, be proud of it, even as an octogenarian on the radio.

I liked Amos'n Andy, I love Lucy, and Andy Griffith.

As a child I always looked forward to Saturday night so I could see "the Jackie Gleason Show" real entertainment.... and those June Taylor Dancers.
Later in life I found great humor in "Laverne and Shirley" (Lenny and Squiggy just made me laugh)

Now that I started this thread, old TV shows keep popping to mind.

Here are three more from the 1950's:

Ramar of the Jungle
Mr. Wizard (Don Hubert)
The Mickey Mouse Club - This was huge in its day.

Tarzan (with Ron Ely)

Loincloth and all. OMG!

Even at 6 y/o my heart would skip a beat when I saw his loincloth flapping in the breeze.

On occasion, I still run across old "Sea Hunt" episodes, with a very hot looking Lloyd Bridges! Now don't THAT take ya back?!
