Car Quiz 37

Dearest Tim,

This lovely pepperment stick of a car is a slightly twisted Mercury Monterrey Turnpike Cruiser of the 1957 or 58 vintage. Besides having two radio antenna on either top corner of the windshield, it also has a power back window that lowers for station wagon-like ventilation. It was attempting to embody all of the good taste applied to the Wurlitzer juteboxes of the day located in the drive in burger joints of the day. Pre-sputnick high tech for those day.

Sincerely,

Stimpy

Dearest Tim,

These are the following list of classic or special-interest cars I would love to own:

1962 Chrysler 300-H (letter car edition) convertible or 2 door hardtop
1956 Studebaker Golden Hawk 2 door hardtop
1957 Lincoln Continental Mark II 2 door hardtop
1964 Buick Riveria Gran Sport 2 door harttop
1967 Lincoln Continental 4 door convertible
1937 Cord Phaeton 812 Supercharged convertible
1966 Chrysler Imperial Crown convertible or coupe
1940-42 Packard Darrin One-Eighty convertible
1971 Mercedes Benz Grosser 600 4 door 5/6 passenger limosine (126" WB)
1972 Citroen SM coupe
1972 Lincoln Continental Mark IV 2 door hardtop
1966 Cadillac Eldorado convertible
1968 Cadillac Eldorado coupe
1970 AMC-Javelin SST-390 Mark Donohue 2 door hardtop
1967 AMC-Ambassador DPL Convertible
1963 Chrysler 300-J(letter car edition) 2 door hardtop
1964 Chrysler New Yorker Salon 4 door hardtop
1972 Dodge Monaco Brougham 4 door sedan or hardtop
1976-78 Chrysler Cordoba 2 door coupe
1971 Mercedes Benz 280SL roadster/removeable hardtop

As you can see my taste are broad and at times obscure but they all hold something special I very much appreciate. Some will never become classics because of the quantity produced or the lack of having a fan base. Even so, they are all special to me.

Sincerely,

Stimpy

Stimpy,

It appears you have been thinking about this for awhile. Nice list.
