I like this boy; seems down to earth and "wiling to try." I think he and Ryan would pair nicely.
Finally watched it today. He is a nice looking young man. At 24 I would not classify him as a boy. Since I do live in the country, I have a soft spot for down to earth country boys. They can be rowdy, mischievous and do everything for lack of something better to do just to have fun. Yet, they are home boys. They go to church, town picnics and are always willing to help out the neighbor or friend in need. One thing no one can never question about these boys is their love for their home and Mom.
To stray a little from the subject of John Henry, let me share an experience I had yesterday with a country boy. J is my neighbor who lives in the trailer across from me. He is 21 years old, has lived here all his life on this property and has never gone more than 50 miles from here. He barely made it out of high school but did manage to graduate. He currently has a full time job in a cabinet making company. This kid is not the smartest when it comes to book smart but he excels in everything he does with his hands. As a hobby he has been building a dune buggy from scratch. I was outside talking to him yesterday about his car. He said he finally got it running good. When I asked him if he had taken it out on the road, he said he couldn't cause it didn't have a tag. He then told me he had to have the title "notaried" before he could do that. He said he had no idea how to do that. I reminded him I was a Notary Public and could do that for him. I told him to bring the paper to me and I would take care of it. He came in and sat on my couch while I signed the paper. The whole time his leg was quivering, I imagine in excitement. When I handed him the title, he asked me how much he owed me. I said he owed me nothing, it was a favor for a neighbor. When he left he said he would return the favor if I ever needed anything done around the place.
To clarify the time table of all this, today is Wednesday. I signed the papers for J on Monday. Yesterday, Tuesday, J's dad paved my parking area with gravel in gratitude for what I did for his son. This is how we live in the country. I have been here since 2008 and there is no where else on this earth I would rather be.
John Henry - Welcome to Broke Straight Boys I hope your experience here is a rewarding one for you. You have our support if you ever need to share anything with us.
Peace,
