BTS: Introducing Vadim: An Interview

Again I complement Damian Christopher for another fantastic production, and again I enjoy a model more than I did before hearing his interview. I knew he was beautiful from the start, but I now feel like I know more about the real person, who grew up in Russia in an orphanage, as his parents abandoned him due to addiction, and how he came to this country adopted by a church going American family, and how Vadim Black is still a man of faith. He seems pretty confident in who he is, and I wish him all of the success on Broke Straight Boys and in all his future endeavors. Thanks for another excellent BTS. Generally speaking, I enjoy these episodes more than the porn, but I am a fan of Vadim Black and intend to watch all of his upcoming scenes.

Yet again another superb BTS interview. This approach to interviewing new models is really superior to the old method and gives the model a chance to really speak to who he is and what he wants from his life. One question for Vadim Black: How old were you when you came to America as an adopted child?

That was very interesting to watch. Vadim Black seems like most guys his age: wanting a fun life and to do something great. I would like to see more of his soccer skills; maybe a game between some of the models?

I also wish to congratulate all the people who helped produce this interview and the accompanying video collage. Damian Christopher does do some great work! I wonder if Sha is still doing the interviewing. Vadim Black is such a wonderful young man to get to know. I enjoyed immensely the fact that he was willing to share so much about his life and his upbringing. My heart goes out to him that he was born into a family that had so many other warped priorities instead of raising and taking care of their precious child.

I do feel like he let us in on actual fairy tale miracle. To think that a little boy in a Russian orphanage would sit at the window at night looking up at the stars and pray to one day have a wonderful nurturing family who would love him and raise him well...and then his prayers were answered and his dreams came true. If Vadim Black's porn career somehow stopped today, I would still thank him for sharing that story and tell him that I will never forget him. Please know Vadim Black that I wish you well, now and into the future, wherever the river of life takes you.

Vadim Black one on one interview

Again I am amazed nobody has started a thread on Vadim Black's personal interview. Man what an amazing guy. Not just because he is beautiful, but he has such a great personality and he is obviously very smart and articulate.

Vadim Black has gotten past the rough life he was brought in to and I am sure that he got that strength from a very loving family.
I really like this guy and would give anything to talk with him at length. I see a guy that totally has the "world by the balls" and if he wants to step up and be great, I am convinced he can do and be anything he wants in life.

That being said I have to admit I felt really bad at the end of the interview. Vadim Black said he wants to leave his mark in the world and have a great legacy in life. I felt bad and I know I will catch some shit for this, but "why would a guy that has SO much potential do be great, decide doing gay porn would give him that notoriety he wants??

I mean fine if you are broke and need the money, not sure of your sexuality etc and decide to try this like Logan and others have done" Well Ok. Logan is actually a great comparison. Super hot, smart, sweet articulate guy but was really gay inside and had never explored that. That was confirmed by David in his posts after Logan left porn. Logan had to stop because of family and just go finish med school and be forced to live a straight life. I hope he is OK and happy. Vadim Black comes from a loving family and I am sure money isn't the issue.

I just feel like WOW Vadim Black, look in the mirror. You have it all, Looks, smarts, ambition and personality.. Get out there and go for it! To be fair, he may not know what he wants and I get that. I just hope he doesn't really want to make this his big deal in life. I hope he learns, saves some bucks and moves on. And I agree with another post, no more tats Vadim Black. You are too hot to cover that perfect body with useless ink.

Vadim Black certainly has the inimitable ability to reach Broke Straight Boys stardom rather expediently, leaving all others in his dusty wake. I share your sentiments, Mr. Reed, about his overcoming countless obstacles in his young life to get where he is, and to go where he shall excel.
The singlemost concern I have for Vadim Black is how his on-camera peers shall react to his impending stardom. As it is, he can outshine most at the present.
Myself, I have yet to determine if I shall become a fan. Unlike you, Mr. Reed, something I cannot put my mind upon seems grossly amiss about him. Perhaps in time, he will be able to either expose this or give me proper cause to dismiss my concern. Time shall tell, and time always manages to have a rather big mouth.
During the interim, Mr. Reed, I cannot see Vadim Black settling for gay porn to rule his life. He impresses me as being in solid charge of his faculties, much as he has been throughout his life. I sense Vadim Black has much more going on for him beyond posing naked and acting out in gay fashion. He does not seem to settle for the ordinary because there is nothing ordinary about him. He has ambition and drive to accompany him along the countless miles he has to traverse before he sleeps.
Lastly, Mr. Reed, I would not worry so much about hurting anyone else's feelings with your comments. Everyone is in charge of their own feelings, and if they are hurt, it is on them, not you. Besides, I thought you expressed yourself better than most on here with proper congeniality and succinct clarity. Good form.

You make some excellent points though, as I felt the same thing that a kid with his looks and apparently the smarts too, that by going into gay porn may not be the best option for an 18 year old who wants to grab the world by the balls. It may not stop him from living his dreams, but it can limit his opportunities, especially with social media as it is today. Anything you put out there can and will be seen. There is no hiding what you do.

I also like your comparison to one of my all time favorite Broke Straight Boys, Logan, as he too has it all going for him. However from your comments, you may have missed his most recent BTS at Market Days in Chicago in 2011.

He came to the gay pride event on his own and specifically wanted to visit with Sha and the gang, and gives a wonderful interview telling us that he had almost completed his education, and that he is now in touch with his sexuality. He didn't specifically say that he is leading a gay lifestyle, but certainly hints that he is now in touch with his inner feelings and he thanks the Broke Straight Boys crew for helping him open his eyes.

Great observations and I largely agree with your comments regarding Vadim Black, Bradley! Thank you for your post.

I agree with you Bradley that Vadim Black has so much potential to do anything he wants in life. I do sincerely hope that he goes on to do even bigger and greater things after his porn career here winds down. I sense also that he has a lot to offer the world. (Especially once he is a few years older and knows what he wants to do with himself in the longer term.)

When I read what you wrote I said OMG BRADLEY as the video was going I felt EXACTLY as you do! I had planned to write something but wondered how I'd do it without insulting good people here. I don't need to add to what you said but I wonder if getting into modeling and porn gay or straight is good for Vadim Black or hurts him fulfill his dreams. As he said he doesn't care what his friends think and in the long run its his decision not ours. I wish him well. He's a very good guy that deserves the best.

Dear, Dear Bradley and Vadim Black most of all,

Beautifully spoken words from your heart and I have to go along with your brotherly suggestions to Vadim Black. I hope that Vadim Black has the opportunity to read and listen closely what you and I have observed about Vadim Black and his possible future in America. Having been a High School Counselor for 36 years, I can clearly appreciate your concern for Vadim Black not being limited OR type-cast for life from achieving his future career goals and opportunities only the US can provide for him. I don't know what type of school he attended here in the US, but he really needed an honest-to-goodness "life-coach" to help him make more realistic long-range choices to deal with the wide array of choices present in the US.

In Russia even today, so many young people feel as if they haven't the financial means to further their education and acquire those essential skills to make a real difference in the world. So many Russian youth must turn to PORN to start earning "GOOD MONEY". In so many parts of the US, the fact that one became a porn star at only age 18, might permanently close doorways of future job opportunities with companies that are more worried about their corporate reputation and image. They could simply deny a well-qualified applicant, simply due to social media such as Google on the internet capable of searching other media for your file as a "PORN STAR"! Having a "Stage Name" assigned helps a little bit to maintain one's animosity, but when and if the employer can match a picture with the face of one of their more "Public" employees, the company soon develops "cold feet" and the employee getting dismissed from his highly competitive job, soon realizes this brief carrier in porn can easily become a real career stopper and almost guarantees them for the majority of significant US jobs offerings, they are now permanently stained by their job in porn. Also, their capability of making the world a better place through their job will almost never be available to them ever again!

Unless you want to be locked away working on an assembly line, or working at some minimum wage fast-food restaurant, almost any job with professional standing, regardless of the pay you earn, will not find it amusing that you have done a short stint in professional porn, even at just 18. Invest your energy wisely and focus your efforts on acquiring a steady profession, the choices are almost infinite. Just try to do as much as you can avoiding "college student loans while applying for as many scholarships and Government sponsored, need-based Financial Aid in the form of Pell Grants and Federally sponsored Student Loans. Each school has a financial aid office and if you qualify for federal assistance, much can be written off OR at least delayed for 10 years to repay gradually after 6 months from graduating with your degree. By law, colleges are required to provide you financial counseling to get some workable financial aid. As Russian adoptee that was legally adopted by US citizens, you should qualify for some federal aid, unless your adopted family earns too much money annually!

Being only 18, you don't necessarily have to begin College right away. You could begin saving your money till you have something saved up to last you a year. Just realize that college costs vary greatly and many students must relocate to find a more reasonable place to attend college. State Public College/Jr. Colleges schools are often the most affordable by far. But there are also a few very good "Pay as you Go" Private Colleges in a few states that offer apprenticeships and other work-related degreed programs to allow for those who have little personal financial resources of their own. Public High Schools are almost universally better equipped to offer their students meaningful, step-by-step financial aid workshops and instructions to better acquaint you with the wide variety of financial aid options available to young people in the US. Just be a wise consumer for financial aid, and don't overly depend too much on private sources, as the majority of school aid financial comes for the Federal Government for recent high school graduates!

PLEASE NOTE: For those students that did not attend my school, I ALWAYS made financial aid workshops readily available to other non-attending students and the public at large when asked, I would gladly tell them the next time it was to be made available through me at no costs, following the annual January release of Pell Grant applications for the coming fall semester!. I worked for 36 years in high schools where there was a lot of poverty. So do not ever count yourself out! You have come too far and you are too beautiful and smart, to permanently limit your employment opportunities for accomplishing your career goals and achieve your personal happiness in the US. I WISH YOU ONLY THE VERY BEST!!!
