Well we are about a month (or a little less in some cases) from the busy June Pride calendar and nary a word from Broke Straight Boys about its Pride schedule. I'm guessing that it will be a slimmed down schedule due to the tv show expense and other cost pressures faced by the web porn industry in general. There might also be a dearth of models currently on the roster who are willing to commit to doing these events.

We know one of the events Broke Straight Boys always goes to - Long Beach, CA Pride is this weekend. So unless Broke Straight Boys is there and doesn't want any members to stop by, then it is being skipped this year. One we can count on is Denver Pride, June 20-21, because that is the home of Broke Straight Boys and has to be pretty inexpensive to do.

It would be nice if management would tell the forum what is going on with this situation this year because I know there are some members who make plans to attend some of them and they would need time to schedule their travel plans. It is getting late for people to do that even for June events. So how about it Mark and/or Sha - what's going on?

Wish they would Pittsburgh although as you say, twould be pricey!

Another factor that I wonder about is the fact that Sha has always been the man to run the booths as he chaperons the boys around the country, and he is so charming talking to those of us lucky enough to attend the events, however as he is now the "host" or interviewer of the Broke Straight Boys scenes, which are released three times a week, I wonder if it is possible for him to do both jobs. I don't know if that is a factor or not, but the thought has occurred to me.

Good point, mikey. You mention Sha as host. I thought he is the director and his partner Bryce is the camera man.

Sorry Stowe. For a gay man, I have little understandinf of show biz and the difference between the director, producer, etc. etc. What I gather is Sha talks to the models, and perhaps sets up the scenes and Bryce shoots the scenes witht he camera.

No, mikey, I was asking just to make sure I had not missed something. After all you are the forum "maven" between the two of us - lol !!!

As far as I know it is still Sha and Bryce. I do recall Mark telling us several months ago that he would soon be utilizing multiple directors and sets, and that they had hired new casting agents to scout out talent, but for now my perception is that Sha is involved in every scene which would make it difficult for him to be on the road, unless they shoot a bunch of episodes to air, while he is on the road.

I started asking last year about this years events, with no response. I have lost complete interest in ever visiting a pride event where Broke Straight Boys will be. What a shame to ignore your base of loyal members!!!

At this time we do not have any Pride events scheduled. It has been a very busy time for us and we are focusing all of our energies on the site.

Now was that so hard, sha? You could have posted that months ago when the topic first came up. And, by the way, I believe that is the right decision. Given cost pressures in this industry and on Broke Straight Boys with its tv show, making this site the best it can be to keep members and to attract new ones should be the primary focus of management.

Things must be tight if they aren't even planning a presence at the Pride event in Denver, the mother church of BluMedia.

Thank you for letting us know Sha. It's with a heavy heart that I think there may be no more Pride events in the future. With the financial pressures facing the industry I know that doing those events can be very expensive. I really doubt that many of longterm members who are aware of how difficult it is to run an adult paysite nowadays, are very surprised at this. Still, it is very sad. I can only hope that somewhere down the road the site might eventually be able to bring back even an abbreviated schedule of Broke Straight Boys events. A guy can dream... *sigh*

It was the one opportunity for us the fans to actually meet and greet the stars of Broke Straight Boys I feel fortunate that I had the opportunity to hang out with Jason Matthews, Blake Benett, Denver Grand and even College Dudes Cole Gartner and of course the charming, personable and very open and warm Sha. I'm sorry that other fans will not have a similar opportunity this year.

Quite honestly, Denver seemed stuck up and wasn't terribly engaging. Cole Gartner was sitting in the back in the booth and seemed half asleep, but Jason, Blake and Sha made a life-long impression on me and I will always remember how friendly and engaging all three were to me. They all made me feel like I was the celebrity the way they treated me. All three are class acts!

austin, Jason, blake, paul, Kaden Alexander, and Sergio and rob were all engaging. if you got cole talking about music, he came to life. diesal, Denver, Brandon, and Damien were the least engaging. Adam, aiden, and Jimmy were intriguing!
