thanks tyler for your highly regarded words. stiil would really love to see those pics on a bloopers dvd or something, but if not, keep up the great work your still hot, hot, hot!!!
I, for one, am quite glad this topic has been brought to my forum thread. I have read about this subject multiple times on other threads, but did not comment being that it was not my conversation to involve myself in.
On that note I will share my opinion.
However this will not necessarily be the opinion or views shared by D&E Productions, BluMedia Studios, Mark, David, Eddie or any other employees, employers, affiliates, sponsors, peers, etc. This is solely my opinion;
We are first and foremost a production company. We specialize in, but are not limited to, filming, editing and producing web-site content. Now many of you may know us because of Broke Straight Boys Although in actuality Broke Straight Boys is only one of very many projects that both Mark\BluMedia and David&Eddie\D&E Productions have to manage and operate on a daily and sometimes minute-by-minute basis.
I know that all of us very much appreciate David, Mark, Eddie and the whole team for many different reasons, on many different levels. The work that they do is unparallel to the "norm" that you will see elsewhere on the net. And I personally feel for that alone we must treat them with the respect, kindness, and courtesy that they deserve.
By this I mean COME ON PEOPLE!! They are human beings, just like you, me, your mother, sister, co-worker, etc. I think we all know where I'm going with this.
So to be completely honest with all of you here it is...
Yes there are pictures of CJ topping me, obviously. The fact of the matter is we do a photo shoot before the scene with the models for many reasons; to get photos for advertisement with the models posed, to get the models comfortable with each other. (As much as possible before there is a big burly man (David), his big intimidating camera, a photographer, his camera, and three thousand watts of lighting, all crammed into the Broke Straight Boys set for your viewing pleasure.) When we do this photo shoot, sometimes the models want to do a certain position so we'll take pictures of it, and when filing rolls around we forgot that position, or it hurts one of them to do, or we couldn't get a good angle for the camera, or lighting was bad. Many, many, many different aspects of reality come into play when you are trying to make a faux version of something so natural and private, come out onto to video. Also doing it all while still pleasing the talent, the consumer, the owner, and being pleased with your own work as well.
I'm not going to get down to the nitty-gritty and start arguing particular scenes, but all in all D&E and Mark all do things for a reason, and they do them well. In this industry some things happen that are better left unknown, hell if we hadn't ever shot those pictures you guys never saw video of because there was never video shot of it, who knows what you’d be talking about? What if Brittany Spears hadn't had a mental meltdown, or married a complete ass? Would anybody give two shits about how well her comeback album did? Or if Obama were white, would we have voted for him? If Kennedy weren’t shot, would he have been considered "a great man", or just another president?
"If you always do things perfectly, how can anybody be sure you're doing anything at all?"
In closing:
Like I said when I began, this is my opinion only. I would wish that no one took offense to my comments or statements. I submit this post in the hopes of bettering this entire situation and mass debate. Everything is edited! Some scenes\pictures\episodes were not the best they could have been, thus you did not experience these materials.
I do not plan on commenting anymore on this or any other subject pertaining to this. This was my one "rant and rave" session. Of course I will continue to post answers to your questions and comments having to do with my scenes\content and me.
Thank you all so much for your participation and support, and please continue to enjoy Broke Straight Boys.com, College Boy Physicals.com and our many other products by D&E Productions and BluMedia Studios.
Salutations and Regards,
Tyler Evans
What a well written response Mitch albeit a bit hurtfull on the early morning eyes. I do tend to agree with most of your post, especially para 8. I am also rather suspicious as to who wrote Tylers post - most of it reads as if it comes from the management. I too have been a member of BlakeMason and they encourage honesty and candidness in the forum. It encourages lively debate and also good or bad feedback can only be of benefit for future productions, that is as long as the hierarchy take it on board.
Dear Tyler (or whoever wrote the above post),
1. You allude to how much work producing porn is. Well everybody's job is usually a lot of work. What else is new? If there is so much work to do then maybe more people should be hired to work behind the camera. What do you think? Is that not logical in any business?
2. I was recently a subscriber to Blake Mason and I currently subscribe to CollegeDudes247 and they don't seem to have all the problems and issues that have been raised on this, and other, threads regarding production, truth in advertising, etc.
3. I think all a customer wants is truth and honesty. No bait and switch. No false advertising. Good products delivered on time. Would you agree with that? Is that not what you want when you deal with a business as a customer?
4. Why does it seem that these companies, D&E and BluMedia are the ones you mentioned as part of this great porn empire, are so sensitive when a member points out flaws in the product? Why not just say to the members "Thanks for pointing that out to us. We will try to make sure that it does not happen again." That’s what most businesses do when they make a mistake and the customer points it out. Your whole post seems to say: "Don't dare criticize us for anything and don't bring our mistakes to attention of other members." Is that unreasonable?
5. You make it sound as though it is impossible to turn out a good product and deliver customer satisfaction. Not so. All takes is a good work ethic and top notch customer service. That is just good business sense. Don't you agree?
6. As for the "We're all human..." excuse for errors and omissions, it just does not hold up. What if I were your lawyer and I was drawing up a contract for you to work for a company and I screwed up and left out the paragraph that says you get x% of the gross revenue? Would you be satisfied if I said "Well it is a lot of work, all those papers, and then dealing with the paralegals and secretaries and all the other parties to the contract, and there was a whole lot going on and you know I have all these other clients to worry about..... and you know, I'm only human." I doubt that would satisfy you. I would probably be facing a malpractice suit. Don't you think?
7. Forgive me for saying so but that whole post sounds like a lot of excuse making and verbal retaliation directed towards RichardNoggin and SlimVintage. Personally, I think they are right. All they want is what they paid for. This site charges the same as all the others. BTW, CollegeDudes247 has a special section where they show the members what they have edited out. Blake Mason is putting out their bloopers material soon.
8. As for not being able to get the right angle for filming and all the crowded conditions you talked about with the cameras and people and lighting, etc... Why don't you models ask for a larger room to work in and a BED. That room appears to be in a typical apartment, I am guessing that the "studio" is an apartment. You deserve more than just a futon in a little room.
On another note: On camera you seem like an awfully nice boy and very good natured. You might want to spend a few days on the beach or by the pool so everybody will stop teasing you about the buttermilk skin color (I have it too!). Let your hair grow out and try a different look, just for the sake of variety. You are a very good top. May God bless and keep you.
Tyler has sheer unbridled beauty, impressive candor, and intellect? DAMN! Why can't there be more "Tylers" up here in PA? The only ones who ever hit on me at Barnes & Noble, on my work-outs, etc. are guys old enough to be a friend of my grandfather.
You know something Scorpio whenever i am hit on by older people or they want to talk to me I remember that every day I also get a bit older
True. However, do you know of ANY 20ish college guy who is looking solely for guys 45+? I'm looking for someone in my own age bracket, and living in an area where everyone is on the "down-low" is a royal P.I.T.A.!

Now you know how I feel, when some of you guys like to post your "witticisms" in French Seriously being "on the down low" is an expression that I have been hearing for the last decade or so. I believe it started in the Black community, but now is fairly common among the younger set today. It refers to keeping your private business private. In the African American community being manly and macho is important, so men who liked to experiment with same sex relations, had to keep it secret = "on the down low". Here is Wikipedia's definition:"down-low" is a royal P.I.T.A
What does this means? Is it some kind of secret code language?

Down-low (also "on the down low" or "on the DL") may refer to any activity or relationship kept discreet. Specifically, it may refer to:
Down-low men who have sex with men.
For more general meaning, see down low on Wiktionary.
And I assume that a royal P.I.T.A. means "pain in the ass".
I can understand your frustration, not being familiar with current colloquialisms, as I am frustrated reading the forum when someone inserts French phrases. I hope I have cleared this up for you.

I really need to share this awesome story with you. I met a wonderful young man when I was in my 20's. We were together for almost 2 years. He was a year younger than me. Anyway; we had a wonderful relationship and he was one of the great loves of my life.
Here is the strange way that we met. I was just looking for friends in the Gay community that were my own age. My cousin told me it doesn't work like that if you still want to have privacy. He said you need to know people who are gay that others trust with their secrets. He told me I needed to be willing to meet some older gay men. He said, that they know lots of younger gay men. LOL I laughed... My cousin finally talked me into meeting two of his theater friends. My cousin introduced me to this guy who was 58 years old (I will refer to him as Bud) who was big time into theater. He had a roommate that was 68 years old (I will refer to him as Blake.) They had been lovers for years and were best of friends.
Anyway, I was introduced to playing bridge and I was invited to many little get togethers. Yes, they all told me how cute I was and occasionally joked about taking me to bed. LOL. They were very entertaining and very funny. We talked about my bisexuality and we talked about gay and straight relationships. LOL They introduced me to other guys my own age regularly. I discovered that both of them had been married and Bud and Blake both had children of their own and Blake even had grand children. Kind of reminds me of Slim. Bud was quite the singer and he was an actor at one time too. He even had a great roommate when he lived in New York who had his own TV series in the 80's. Wow, and it was Sci-Fi too. About 3 months later I was invited to Bud and Blake's Christmas Party. That year I think it fell on the 22nd. I digress. Anyway, This part was really awesome. One of the guests who showed up at Bud's Christmas party was the one and Only Barbara Streisand (Not a drag queen) Barbara and Bud had been friends for years. The two of them regaled us with Christmas carols that night. That night was truly magical. Barbara was very down to earth too. She talked about here son that had recently came out and she told us a stury of how he did her in Drag. LOL She said he looked better in her gowns than she did. LOL
Another Guest that night was Blake's grandson. I will refer to him as Daniel. Any way Daniel and I hit it off that night. It seems that Daniel was Bisexual too and he was recently divorced. He came to hang out with his Grandfather for a while. Needless to say Daniel and I became BF's. Daniel was the love of my life at that time. He insisted that we both come out to the world. I wasn't ready for that step then. So, we went our separate ways. He is happily married to a guy and he now lives in MA. We are still a great friends... I have no hard feelings or regrets other than being afraid to just be me. To think there was a time when I was afraid of a stupid label. LOL I laugh now when I think about it.
BTW my cousin was right I met more gay, bisexual, and curious guys my own age through Bud and Blake than I ever though possible. It was too funny. At that time there were no Gay bars in our town. So, Bud and Blake's house was always open to wandering gays, bisexuals, and curious guys that they knew. They would often let the guys use one of the four guest rooms kind of like a bed and breakfast. Bud and Blake were wonderful. Blake was notorious for taking surveys of what seemed like dumb things just to get people to talk and mingle he was a master at that. LOL...
