Mike, I , too, thought of Johnny after I read your comment above. There are many other great models from earlier times. It is why I refuse to rank them. As I have said before, each player is unique and therefore special in their own way.
I understand and respect your perspective br. However I have always been fascinated by numbers and ratings and ranks since I was very young. As a young child I used to buy TV Guide every week to see where my favorite TV shows were rated, and when I became a music fan in my early teens, I would love to listen to the surveys each week on the radio to see how my favorite songs ranked. I loved it one week when my favorite all time musical act, The Beatles had the top five songs, From Wikipedia, “ In an achievement unlikely to ever be equalled, for the week of 4 April 1964 The Beatles occupied the top five positions of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. In all they had 12 places on the US chart.”
The chart placings were as follows, with the respective record labels in brackets:
1: ‘Can’t Buy Me Love’ (Capitol)
2: ‘Twist And Shout’ (Tollie)
3: ‘She Loves You’ (Swan)
4: ‘I Want To Hold Your Hand’ (Capitol)
5: ‘Please Please Me’ (Vee Jay)
31: ‘I Saw Her Standing There’ (Capitol)
41: ‘From Me To You’ (Vee Jay)
46: ‘Do You Want To Know A Secret’ (Vee Jay)
58: ‘All My Loving’ (Capitol)
And I continued to follow the charts all the way through college, when my friends and I would go to the college bookstore on campus to check out Billboard every week to check the top rated albums. My buddy was a big Doors fan and it was a fun activity. And as a sports fan to this day, I wait for each Monday during college basketball season to see the new Top 25 rankings to see where my Duke Blue Devils rank. By the way, they remain at #2 in the nation behind #1 team Baylor. Unfortunately their game tomorrow scheduled to be played at Clemson has been postponed due to COVID, but that is another issue.
Sorry for digressing, but my point is that rankings and ratings have always been a passion of mine as the same goes for
Broke Straight Boys I follow the “Highest Rated Models” on
Broke Straight Boys pretty closely and I love that
Jake Spencer is the #1 model of all models except for the brand new guys who only started in the last few weeks. Since I’ve been following
Broke Straight Boys, it is a common phenomenon for guys to emerge and get a very high rating early on, but as time goes by, the true ratings emerge. And Jake has been here since 2018 and as I mentioned above Adam & Johnny from 2012. And
Ronan Kennedy is in the top 20 and he debuted in 2014.
I know that is a long winded explanation, but I do not work on Tuesdays and I just took a nap and I love to post on subjects that interest me. Having this forum to ramble on and on is one of my pleasures of the last decade plus. lol
