I get a lot of heat about this topic on social media and other places. So are they really straight? IMO here is how I see it. If they are doing sexual stuff with guys on camera and only on camera AND have a girlfriend or some form or girlfriend that isn't a blow up doll in my mind I think they are straight. This is really the only way I know they are straight or mostly straight or whatever you want to call it. If they don't have a girlfriend then I am more suspicious. I might think they are gay or possibly bisexual depending of course. It wouldn't be fair to say they are all gay because they sucked a cock and maybe even enjoyed it. So what do you guys think? Here is some guys off the top of my head I consider straight....

Johnny Forza
Adam Baer
James Dawn
Jimmy Johnson
Jos Alvarez
Ethan Steel
Vadim Black
Ayden Troy
Sergio Valen
Denver Grand
Ben Dover
Bobby Owens

Now this isn't a full list I just picked some guys off the top of my head for discussion. I have had lengthy discussions with Jos Alvarez about this. Jos Alvarez always told me he wishes he was gay so much because women are such a pain in the ass for him. He was always telling me it would be so great to be gay because you could hangout like bros and do similar things but then have sex. What is your opinions on this?

I have to go along with Mike's explanation. on the continuum of completely straight to completely gay guys on either end would not under any circumstance have sex with the other side. So even those listed above remain in the middle!

Such an interesting topic to me. Probably my favorite topic here. I just checked my own favorites list. In my thirteen plus years on this site, I have 17 models on my list and Mark named four of them on his “straight” list and on reflection I probably should add two more of his 12. I like that six of his 12 are among my all time favorites. There is a definite correlation as to why I joined this site and no other gay porn site. Straight guys make me horny. :masterbate:

Thank you br for quoting my theory. I feel like a professor emeritus on the forum. lol My corollary theory is that Broke Straight Boys is a fantasy set in a reality format, and if I can convince myself that I believe the fantasy, it works into my sexual fantasy, hence my “believably straight” theory, but I teach that in the second semester of my course lol

Mike one thing I can say about you You are never dull!

You know this topic has been going on for the ages...LOL. I have to agree with Mark on this point and the reason being is that when the cameras are off, we get see the "real" person that is here filming and we really get to know them on a level that I don't think even a camera can pick up. For instant, the newer model name Justin Salvador...has a baby he fucks girls and only girls off camera. He made it very clear that he isn't gay and he is only doing this for the money to support his baby and too pay his bills.

My list here is from the BSB1.0 error:

Diesal
CJ
Danny "Blueyes"
Shane "Tank"
Mike Robbins
Dustin
Chase

Just to name a few off the top of my head....

And in recent filming:

Justin
Mikey (gator)
Ashton Silvers
Darron Bluu
Duncan
Sterling
Charlie
Gian
Gino
Bentley
Matt
Javier

These guys you may see on other studios filming, but they are self proclaimed straight boys, they will film gay porn because the money is good, but outside of gay porn, they lead a straight non-homosexual life and I believe them because I see there life differently then the members.

Also I concur with Mark about Jos Alvarez, I had the same talk with him about being gay. He intrigues me a lot but I think how he explained it to me is that he can justify doing this work because of the money. He comes into this as a job and for him to earn money, but in the outside world, he is straight. He can in his mind separate gay4pay-filming gay porn then switch to having a straight life.

I still keep in touch with Diesal and I asked him a few months ago, would he still have sex with another guy off camera or on camera, and he bluntly said "NO" and that was just a phase he was going through, the money was great and he had fun, but today being a 31 year old man, married to women and having kids..he works and he lives a VERY straight lifestyle and he has no thoughts or feelings about having gay sex today.

This topic is very interesting, and everyone has there own opinions about this topic. If you would have asked me when I was in my gay teenage years or in my 20's, to me a male sucks another guys dick, he is gay. But knowing what I know now, and experiencing filming Broke Straight Boys site and dealing with all these guys that have a huge sexual spectrum, its very interesting to me and now, I can say with confidence, a sort of straight male can have sex with another guy pending on the money and the situation but overall, most of these guys will not have sex off camera if it doesn't involved some sort of $$$ may it be studio work or for social media. This is what it comes down to.

That's a great list Mark!

Obviously with 551 models in the history of the site (and counting), you can't possibly remember and include all of them. But I also realize you are including those who you have either met personally or have surmised as much from viewing their work over the years.

Yes. I counted all the models on the model pages to get to the 551 number. And yes. I know I need to get a life. haha
(Didn't actually take very long. 24 models to a page. Times 23 pages. But only 23 models on the final 23rd page.)

I would also add Abram Hoffer to the list. Unless someone in the know is aware of more than the rest of us. haha

Thank you also Mark for sharing some of that convo with Jos Alvarez. Very illuminating. :) If he isn't gay, he might as well be. haha He sure is good at the sexual aspect of it. (Even if maybe he just can't fall in love with a guy. Or have kids with one through natural childbirth. lol)

That's a great list too David. I agree with all of your picks for Broke Straight Boys-1 as well. Especially Diesal I always got the sense from him that while he was obviously good at the mechanics of gay sex, enjoyed kink, enjoyed blowjobs and good orgasms regardless of how he got them or where they came from... Got along very well with gay people in his charming, unconditional and non-judgmental "Live and Let Live" way... That his heart was actually elsewhere.

That still skirts the question I keep asking how an a 100% straight man do gay sex willingly it is a contradiction!

In the course of my legal career, I met a number of young men who were very straight-identified but who engaged in gay sex. The motivations typically revolved around money. If one is a dirt-poor kid with a limited education and set of job skills, there is a fairly easy way to pick up some cash by having gay sex.

I still recall one kid I represented on occasional prostitution charges who was from Indiana. He was tall and farm-boy handsome. He had no skills outside basic farm chores and a GED. He was trying to survive in one of the most expensive cities in the US. I asked him why he was hustling given his very adamant claims he was straight. His response was simple - he made a lot of money doing gay porn video scenes for a company and escorting. Far more than he would have made at the regular jobs available to him. He also commented he was a lousy thief and too scared to rob anyone.

A lot of young guys decide to go out and hit the road - sometimes because their home life sucks and sometimes just because they want to travel a bit before they settle down. A lot of those guys eventually end up on the West Coast - in Portland, Seattle, San Francisco, or LA. They discover where the other kids "traveling" are all hanging out and if they do not already know they quickly learn that there is quick money to be made in doing gay sex. Those who are able to do it physically and psychologically give it a shot.

The fact is that a lot of people are quite capable of doing things they would not otherwise do if it was beneficial to them to do so. Look at all the gay guys who marry women and father children even though they are really gay. I still remember one guy I went to high school with. Glitter shot out his ass when he walked and rainbows revolved around his head. But he was from some hardcore, bible-banging, fundamentalist Christian sect and really was deep into that nonsense. So despite me and probably half the guys in my school having taken a ride on his ass, he married and had a bunch of kids. He is still married and if you believe his Facebook posts, a happy heterosexual publicly.

TY for that. I stand corrected & should have remembered, there are exceptions to all rules so to speak It also gives credence to Dustin's story.

I then thought would I want to watch anyone having to do gay sex under these circumstances,
To me it is like buying a product made with forced labor.

This is a topic that is very simple in my head. I was Bi when I was younger and when I reached my mid-20's I thought to myself: if I met a great woman and fell in love with her would I cheat on her with a guy? Well I did!!! If I met a great guy and fell in love would I cheat on him with a woman? No I didn't!! So that convinced me I was leaning more towards gay. Would I do straight porn to "pay the bills" well easily when I was younger because I was Bi. A straight guy can be curious what it would be like to be with another guy, and maybe try it. But the end result is it's not for them under any circumstances. But to consider yourself straight and have sex with guys on film over and over and some cases years, then you're fooling yourself!!! Being gay literally means having sexual intercourse with the same sex as yourself. If you're having sex with both sexes (on film or not) you're Bi. Just my :2c:

Agree. Then there was me who was gay & did not enjoy having sex with my then wife but our marriage presented me with three sons.

Would I do it again in hind sight, yes with one major difference: Treating the mother of my children as I should have not as I did. That bis a regret I can not change. What I can & hope I did was to try to treat others better.

You know...I worked in a restaurant many, many years ago. Between the ages of 18-24 I worked in a high scale seafood restaurant. There was one waiter there that also had glitter shooting out of his ass and rainbows revolved around his head, but he claimed he was straight. When I was hired on as one of the waiters, the other wait staff as they got to know me, wanted to know if I was gay or straight or bi. At the time I felt it was really non of there business and told them I was "straight" since I was straight acting, they sort of believed me. There intent was for me to hook up with the "gay waiter" but it ended up that the "gay waiter" was really straight. What we didn't know was his dated a lot of women and one day he comes into work and his girlfriend dropped him off at work and we thought it was just his "fag hag" girlfriend to only find out weeks later, he was engaged to her and the eventually got married and they are happily married to this day with kids.

Hence, I came out of the closet at work and I was the "token" gay waiter that worked in this restaurant. Then in the same restaurant we had our liquor/wine sales men come in every Friday to place the order for wines and such. He was so femmie I thought and the others always thought he was gay. Again Glitter shooting out of his ass, I started flirting with him because he was cute to only find out he wasn't gay and he was very married to a female and had kids and although he was delighted that I was flirting with him, he was also insulted thinking why he thought I thought he was gay to begin with, back then I wasn't so "politically correct" and told him I thought he was gay. He was insulted, then the bartender backed me up and he said too, we thought you were gay as well. The salesmen was so hurt and insulted, and both myself and the bartender was super embarrassed, we apologized to him and went on our way and anytime he came in thereafter, I would avoid him.

So you just never know.....

The concepts involved are still evolving.

In public health, they tend to talk about MSM (Men who have sex with Men) rather than sexual identity/preference. There are literally thousands of men who have sex only with other men who do not (and would not) identify as "gay."

Over a lot of human history, it was acceptable to be the "insertive partner" but the "receptive partner" was looked down on. Also, the idea that sexual activities are related to maleness or femaleness (gender) is not always the case. Every culture has different standards for both sexual and gender roles.

I think we've got to grow beyond the idea of sexual identity. Having sex with a man is not necessarily an emotional or intellectual connection, and further, having an emotional/intellectual connection with another man does not necessarily mean having sex with each other.

If a model says they're straight, as "gay and straight" are matters of self-identity, then they're straight. Perhaps that's oversimplified, but it's the basis I work with.

Although you work with these type of guys on a different level then I do. Its pretty much the same. What these guy explain to me that its just sex for them. There is NO feelings of love or emotion or attachments or attraction. They can have gay sex, but there is no emotional attachment to it with the exception of the guy tells us he is bisexual and can have emotional attachments to both guy or gals. Then there are the pansexual guys, that base everything on personality so they don't care if the person is gay, straight, bisexual or transgender, or old your young or whatever....just as long as they have a great personality they can have an emotional attachment and attraction to that person.

I am glad you got here and posted and made a great explanation. I've learned so much from filming Broke Straight Boys, that I understand these guys more and more each day. Its a learning experience for me and I find human sexuality to be amazing and complicated all at the same time.

You are the Alfred Kinsey of the 2020’s David. You could write your own book based on your “research work” here.

Again I reiterate, are you looking for a good product or are you looking for men that fit your preconceived idea what a man should look and act like. For me it is how he plays together with his partner or partners in the scene at hand. By the way Dande when are we going to get a three some again, I expect you do have some input on that.
