Hey, Jon!
Thanks for posting this up! I agree, this was a fabulous season for
Britain's Got Talent ~ and I think that, on any great talent-show, a great musical act always has the edge, because MUSIC speaks directly to people's hearts, in a way that can't be replicated by any other form of art, or entertainment. "All art aspires to the condition of MUSIC"; so said Walter Pater, Oscar Wilde's hero.
But I was really glad that Darcy Oake got a great reception from the judges, and the British public, for three reasons (not including, that he's Canadian, and I'm partial ;-):
1.) I think his act is fantastic.
2.) I think that (despite the tattoos) ~ he's a stone-cold hottie ;-)
3.) He is, in real life, a truly soft-hearted sweetheart, and ever since his brother died of a drug overdose in 2011, he gives much of the proceeds from all of his shows, to help people overcome narcotic addictions.
So, I hope that this programme will be the springboard to greater success and fame for Darcy - and thanks for letting people here know about him, Jon.
Hugs,
"A" XOXOXOXOXOXO
