An emphasis on recruiting more Black or Latino is not only a reasonable request, I feel it would add much to the relevance of Broke Straight Boys-2. I think diversity is the spice of life. I am sure you have some familiarity with "Ricky" who appeared in a very hot video with Logan or "Gino" who appeared in another extremely hot video with Tank Shane or to a lesser degree we had "Mike" for only two three-way episodes with one featuring "Tyler" and the other with "CJ" but his stay with Broke Straight Boys was extremely short lived. There were less than a handful of blacks but they never became a regular.

Although there are a few Latino guys, the number of blacks is significantly less than Hispanic. That speaks more to our loss as forumites since most of these attempts at inclusiveness were made during Broke Straight Boys-1. One has to wonder why we have so consistently failed to attract minorities except for the way we go about our recruiting models? If this was reflective of the actual ratio of Whites:Blacks:Hispanics, we certainly wouldn't qualify for an "equal opportunity employer of horny straight guys"! I think NOT! Rather, one would have to evaluate Broke Straight Boys's record of attracting and hiring minorities certainly qualifies as "being abysmally poor".

This is especially ironic when the labor statistics shows clearly that the two groups of highest unemployment rates in the US are in the Black and Latino population. Maybe our recruiters need to have a little fire lit up under them to address this unfortunate trend or at least have them remove their rose colored glasses for a change! I don't want to think of Broke Straight Boys as some "exclusively white Country Club of Gay Porn"!

As I've stated before, personally, I'd like to see some well built Asian guys and I really wouldn't say no to a little Goth thrown in as well. So far, Broke Straight Boys has only had the one true Goth... Kaden Alexander/Kayden (?) .. and it was only a solo effort.

There is a particular gay website out there for those who like the Goth and Skater look and I admit it, I've looked at it quite frequently.. however.. I've always come away giggling at the overly produced and ultra fake scenes (Oh yeah! fuck my boy pussy!!)... and as a result, have had to resort to my Marilyn Manson video clips :: sigh ::

As Mark has said before, while he is all for diversity, it all depends on the guys who want to sign up with Broke Straight Boys. if the majority are white, then there isn't much Broke Straight Boys can do about it. Maybe there are a few Latino and Black and Asian guys who want to sign up but just can't get past the whole 'gay' thing?

As a person of color, I have stated this many years ago on this site, and on other popular site like Sean Cody, there not only needs to be more african americans, but more asians, more native americans...you name it, there needs to be more diversity. There are more people out there than caucasian boy with tats, or caucasian country boy, or caucasian goth, or caucasian surfer, or caucasian.....well you get my point.

The answer many sites give is "We would also like to be more diverse, that being said, we have a hard time either finding minorities that want to model, or getting them to agree to things beyond the initial masturbation scene...."

I've never bought that excuse, much like I don't buy the excuse that the Broke Straight Boys-2 guys are the best this site can find right now, and that you can't find guys that aren't on other sites..before, during and after their time on Broke Straight Boys-2.

I'm not saying that there should be a quota, what I'm saying is if you hire GOOD scouts, then they should be able to find ANY type of man, especially true amateurs. I find it an insult that sites act as if they are sympathetic to the plight that I have described, but to think that only caucasian men are willing to do sites like this or any other, is DEAD WRONG!

Lastly, what I think people need to admit, and maybe their silence speaks louder than their words, referring to the lack of comments on this GREAT FORUM POST, people like the lily white porn world and most likely it's because the lion share of subscribers are probably caucasian. So like most people are business savvy...you cater to your target market...but GREAT businesses give their target market what they want, before they even knew they want or even like what you gave them....Just sayin'!

Mark, thanks for your honesty, however I'm not quite sure you know how offensive what you just said, was. If you found people that were too gay, keep looking till you find some that aren't. It's the same excuse people who say "I'm not into blacks" give......I guess I've read a lot of your post and what you've said in the past, and just didn't expect these words from you.....so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, I can't tell your tone, intent or inflection through black and white type........but I'm still very disappointed. I don't believe that Mark is discriminating against older men, or overweight men, or hairy men any more than he is against men of color. It is just a specific sexual fetish type that this site features, nothing more and nothing less.

I totally support equality in "real life", including education, right to vote, housing, job opportunities, membership in organizations, etc. I have even been branded a "bleeding heart liberal" many times in my life, but having a "type" that makes my cock hard when watching porn is not racism, it is just my deep seeded sexual orientation.

I have to hand it to you Mikey that you have stated your points very well. I don't mind seeing some men of color on here once in a while. That includes not only African-Americans but Native Americans and some Asians. The points that Mikey makes here are pretty solid though in my opinion. There are plenty of sites out there that specialize in men of different ethnicities and fetishes. Broke Straight Boys is very successful with a predominantly caucasian roster of models. I would not go on a chub site and try to convince them of the merits of adding models who weigh 120-150 lbs. I would not go to a bear site and try to convince them to add some smooth, bare-chested guys.

I do feel there is room here for diversity here without losing members. In fact it might help gain (and retain) a few more.
