I know we have many members here who live along the Eastern Seaboard. Please know that we are thinking of you and hoping for the best. Please stay safe.

If you could give us updates to let us know how you are doing I'm sure that many here would appreciate it. That's assuming of course that you still have electricity or battery power to do so. Even if the storm weakens some more, and we hope it does...it is still going to be very nasty and damaging. I particularly worry about places like NYC.

Thanks for you concern Tampa. If you turn on any news station on radio or television, it is the only story being covered here. And as you walk down the street, or talk to people on the phone, everyone talks about it. As of 12 Noon on Saturday, the mayor is closing down all mass transit, subways, buses, railroads, so everyone had better be where they plan to be for the storm. Last I heard, they expect it to get real bad here around midnight Saturday night into Sunday. If I still have power, I will let you know what happens here.

A prayer for ALL East Coast residents

Dear Mike,

Please keep yourself safe buddy. You know we're thinking of you and all the millions of others along the storm's path. Our prayers are with you. Please do keep us upated.

Mike,

Is this reaction a first for NYC. I can't remember a time when the city shut down all mass transit.
