Dear friend Ambi: When is your book coming out? I want a signed copy with a lot of your polished writing in it. I could read you all day. I believe you know the American political system better than most Americans, especially Congressmen. Mr. Obama was a Constitutional Law Professor for many years before he entered politics. Religion is definitely being invoked in many issues, especially gay issues. And it is the very ones who Hate gays and love guns. Here is a stupid story (so stupid I don't know whether to post it): This guy was fixing my water pump and started telling me he was a Christian. (Everyone here is) After more conversing about his church, and being invited to attend, he asked me if I could believe that the "N" in the White House is going to let these queer child molesters get married? More talk. He says he has a solution. Set up two big concentration camps on opposite sides of the road. Put the Dikes on one side and the queers on the other. That way they can't make any more queer babies. We could fly over and drop food to 'em until the last one is dead. He stated he heard this from a southern Congressman last night on fox news. I relented, and went inside. I was back in 10 minutes. I told him that I believe that most of the "gay" people, boys and girls, had heterosexual parents and that more gays were coming. "We can take care of them, too" he said. Hateful Christian.
This is the philosophy of the locals, christians all, There are churches hidden back up in these hollers I've never seen. Hundreds. Big or small. The smallest sits 8, an old "slave" church, now a white family has it. Many are "family" only churches.
Many churches preach "hate the gay" I have asked during festivals in the town square, "Is that what Jesus preached? Or was he all about tolerance, equality, and healing as am I?"
While living in Tampa for 13 years, I attended a "gay" church. The best services I have ever seen/heard. What music! (Tampa, it was the Metropolitan Community, at the time just off South Macdill)
People are pleased to vote for the propaganda they "bought" in to from pulpits, fox news, and
news pundits. Politics is indeed Big Business.
I will move eventually to seek more "like-minded" souls.
Maybe someone out there can help. I am eligible for medical marijuana, seeking the warmest possible climate, but not Arizona or New Mexico (not like-minded) Gay friendly. not a big city, but drivable to one. I'm even looking overseas. Impossible?
