There has been maybe 3 scenes since the beginning of BSB2 that has lived up to the hype of page after page of comments prior to a scene coming out. STOP IT!!! haha Let the models start a thread on their forum to promote their up coming scenes if they want, and lets all comment on here after the scenes been posted.:anyone:

Good point Peter, but I as guilty of that recently with the Conner blowjob thread - but at least someone actually started a new thread for the actual analysis - I can't see an issue with that.

So far there are 3 ongoing threads on today's duo - 2 of which were started this morning.

I somewhat agree Peter but I feel that if your favorite is in a scene, that one would naturally want to discuss the scene. I see this as no different than seeing movies they have teasers and trailers and most movies do not live up to the hype of the pre release build up. That is just my opinion though, I would think that even as a a straight person I would study some of the better scene here to learn from them but apparently Paul and Jason scenes are far and in between. Most models seem to give better performances when they leave here and go elsewhere, I don't know if because they have what they want them to do set out for them on other sites. Again just my thoughts on this

I probably came on a little strong, but it does drive me crazy when an upcoming scene like Damien and Graham has 9 plus pages of anticipation with comments from the models as well, and then doesn't really live up to the hype. It was an okay scene, but not the upper 4 or 5 that everyone (including the models) thought it was going to be. So this is kind of what I'm getting at. It can't be good for models to go on and on about their upcoming scene, and then get sort of shot down when it's not really that great. Just my :2c: folks. Sunny and 65 today in Seattle

Nothing Wrong With Anticipation

I find this sort criticism hard to understand. What difference does it make that some members and models post about an upcoming scene? What is even more difficult to understand is holding the models responsible for promoting an upcoming scene which then does not meet your standards (whatever that is).

I am rather confident that most models will never see the finished scene before it is put up on the site. What they are most likely going on is how they remember the shoot. If they are new to this, that would make it even more difficult to peg how it is going to look.

I get the sense that some are actually annoyed because the models are interacting on the forum before their scenes are shown.

I think this is unfair because it is obvious that management WANTS the models on the forum because it builds interest and keeps the forum lively. Most forum members also want a presence by the models in the forums.

You have to ask yourself do you really want the models here so you can shred their performances when they are posted on the site. Do you hold major stars to the same standards when they promote a film or concert performance that does not get raves?

Once again, I think some members want their cake and they want to eat it too.

This is simply an unrealistic criticism that only permits some to rain on everyone else's parade.

Post a review of the scene. Comment on how successful the scene works; but, it is not fair to the models or the site to complain about the amount of interaction between the models and forum members.

That is your opinion Blue. We are all paying members and we can praise or complain what we like.

What Is Good For The Goose Is Also Good For The Gander

Yes we are and yes, we can Jon.

I support the idea that any Broke Straight Boys member can say whatever they want.

But, the same free and open discussion is also about whether or not an observation or critique made on the forum is fair or valid.

Since when can one not express an "opinion" about an "opinion?"

Are you saying that member comments are sacrosanct?

IF you want a free and open discussion, all topics need to be open.

It seems important to me that the validity of a negative statement also be open for discussion.

You can not have it both ways Jon. (Well, you can try; but, that is more the subject of a Monty Python sketch.)

Finally, I suppose you could be arguing Jon that a forum member might not post if he/she felt that their comments might be criticized in return. That there is a "chilling effect" on forum members if their opinions are open for discussion. Paying forum members might be reluctant to post. Is that what you are saying Jon?
