Annoucement for future scenes in this crazy year 2020

Dear Members,

As you can imagine, the pandemic that has hit the world has brought many challenges for our models and crew’s safety while filming. We appreciate your continued patience as we navigate through the new normal in producing content. As we continue to monitor the current pandemic, we have decided to do a minimal amount of filming in Miami as the studio there is next to the testing center where we can get same-day results for both our models and staff that have agreed to resume production. Although there is still a risk associated with filming, everyone involved in the production is aware of these risks. Each participant is willing to abide by our strict procedures provided by the Free Speech Coalition to create the safest possible work environment. We will continue with this minimal production until cases have a steady decrease and only if those team members feel comfortable doing so. We again thank you for your patience and understanding during this challenging time. Thanks for your continued support and membership to Broke Straight Boys and the affiliated sites. Stay safe!

As I mentioned on the other thread, the set where the upcoming scene "Two Bros Jerk Off" looked familiar and now that Mark said they are using the studio near Miami, I wonder if David is back with his futon. That would be thrilling for me kind of taking me "full circle" from where it all started for me as a fan of Broke Straight Boys when I first joined in 2008. I can't wait for that scene to come out and find out if my speculation is correct.

Hi Mikeyank...you've been a very supportive and faithful fan of ours and Broke Straight Boys over the years so I guess its safe to say for now, the scene we filmed will be live on August 16th. Its a throw-back to the classic BSB1.0 but with some updates to reflect today's world. I did bring back the futon and filmed in the style we know best. As we introduce the new straight boys to the site and build up there confidence and entice them with $$$ to do things they normally don't do.

I also want to touch base on what Mark stated when he started this thread. We are taking a lot of precautions filming Broke Straight Boys along with College Boy Physicals. We did take a break to figure out and wait what the industry has recommend in starting up production and many debates about doing this and lots of logistics involved when planning production not for only our studio but for other studios within our industry.

Slowly but surely, many of the studios in California, Vegas and here in Florida have started up production once again and ramping it up slowly and taking major precautions. Now, everyone...even the crew has to get tested and we all have to wear masks and we are in lock down mode. There is no longer going to the beach, the mall, restaurants...or any extra circular activities. We are taking every precautions deemed necessary for everyone's safety.

I am sure many of you will have major questions and I will do my best to answer them. For now, I hope you all enjoy the episodes that we filmed. It has been a very, very, very long time since we haven't filmed Broke Straight Boys and I have to admit I was very, very, very nervous getting back to filming Broke Straight Boys scenes but once the camera was on, it felt as if I was riding a bike and back into action. I just hope you guys enjoy it, old members and new members alike.

In all of this excitement of having David come back I would like to put out there for the record, that for myself at least, I was not unhappy with the staff doing the filming up till now. I'll try to explain as concisely as I can using as few paragraphs as possible. haha While I and others have found many scenes lacking recently, I would say that while there are several reasons for that, that many times it came down to the performances of the individual models themselves, which directors and staff had little to no direct control over. Also the choice of models being hired has been a contributing factor in some cases. But again we live in different times and circumstances to 10+ years ago which we have already spoken on and enumerated in many other previous threads. The job of filming porn and finding good talent (especially straight or straight-er talent) seems to grow ever more difficult rather than easier.

Right now the future of Bryce and Sha and the roles they have within the company are a mystery to those of us on the outside looking in. So while I and others are happy about the prospect of David returning, this does not mean that we are or were unhappy with the many great contributions and the hard work of Bryce and Sha.

I thank Bryce and Sha very much (and any other support staff whose names and labor we might not know of) and I hope that they can still stay on board within BluMedia in some capacity which they find meaningful and fulfilling. Or at the very least that they find new projects and experiences outside of the company which they find rewarding.

My problem with the majority of Broke Straight Boys performers in recent times is twofold. One is that many did not seem in any way straight or inexperienced in gay sex. My attraction to Broke Straight Boys was to watch straight guys have gay sex for the first time, or at least to put on a believably good performance at doing that.

Secondly, if they were not necessarily straight, I at least like to see guys new to porn. More and more of the recent guys on site seem to have come from an agency where they are hired to appear on multiple sites prior to coming to Broke Straight Boys I am hopeful that David will bring in boys who are new to gay porn, and hopefully “believably straight” as I like to put it.

While I’m excited for a change and always up for new talent, there are some of us that aren’t really familiar with the beginning days of Broke Straight Boys And I feel you have to always think of EVERYONE. I haven’t loved every model in the past couple of years, but there are a few that I would be devastated if I knew they wanted to work and weren’t given the opportunity because of “who hired who”. For example if Jos Alvarez or James Dawn, who both identify as straight or bi, wanted to continue to work they should be invited. Their ratings are high, and after all, I’ve been told many many times from members and staff that ratings are the Bible.
