An Appreciation Post...

I can't believe I've joined the site and the forum less than a month ago!!
I just thought I'd take the time to make a thread to express my gratitude to all the new friends I've made on Broke Straight Boys I never thought that I'd make such good friends. Well, I hope they consider me a friend. I know I do. I bounded with some members quickler than I thought possible.
I'm having so much fun in this new community, I'd like to call home. I've never had a way with words and I'm not sure you guys know how much you're bringing to my life. I've never expressed my feelings or even been able to say most of the things I say here, in real life.
You guys make me feel like I have somewhere I belong. You give me hope for my life in general.
You make me smile and laugh and feel good despite my struggle with health issues. So for that and many other reasons, I'd like to say a huge THANK YOU!!!!!

Most of all, thank you Mark for creating such an amazing site with some amazing models!!

I love talking with you here and I know I post way too much as evidenced by my 'senior member' status. I probably bore or annoy the hell out of you guys with my endless posts. I just can't help but post, even if my posts aren't the most eloquent or the wittiest of posts.
I'm really chatty and passionate and intense. I probably come on too strong when I talk, post or tweet which I do a lot. I'm really sorry about that. It is just part of who I am and try as I might, I never quite contain my excitement at seeing new posts or new tweets from my Broke Straight Boys family.

I hope you'll come to appreciate me, the way I appreciate you.

Welcome aboard! I've been a member off and on for years - too many I think - and I really feel at home. I've found a site that I luv and feel appreciated. What I really like about Broke Straight Boys are the leisurely pace, the occasional flare-ups - bareback episode - and how everything settles eventually in the end, plus or minus a few members. Did I mention the men? Well you know by now how really "straight" they are and some of them are really straight. It plays with my fantasy and ardent desire to see straight men do things I do with my lovers but in a masculine manner. Enjoy.

yeah, this site def has a awesome community aspect to it that ive never experienced at any other porn based site which ive had a membership to. It gives a whole different feeling to the site and makes you want to come back much more often, not just for the porn updates but to chat with other likeminded people who share the same interests. its cool!

Now, I have shared a lot of things from my personal life with you guys and I was wondering if I should share some of the reasons why I'm depressed most of the time or it'd be too much. I mean, I have a tendency to over share and I don't want you guys to think I'm throwing a pitty party or anything. Let me know what you think.

My opinion is if you have things that you want to share with us regarding your depression, then please do it. Some folks may not be interested and they can skip over your posts, but I believe that many of us are interested and more importantly, I believe it is important for you to express it in writing. Much like seeing a therapist, it is so important for us to verbalize our thoughts and feelings, in an open and unfiltered way.

My feeling is if it is something you want to share with the forum, then for you to DO IT!

Thank you for your kind words of support, Mike. I do feel like sharing my issues with you might help me as I've come to think of you guys as a second family. You're Broke Straight Boys family. I definitely feel more comfortable sharing my problems with you guys on here than I would with a therapist. I already tried and it didn't work out.

Milla, I think it would be very therapeutic for you to share your feelings. It has been very therapeutic for me when I have done so. I've shared so much here I feel like most of these people know me more intimately than my close friends. We will be here to listen, to empathize, and to support. We don't, won't judge you.

Milla, I get the feeling you really want the forum members to see and accept the real you, not the Milla you present to the world in 'real life'. If sharing personal things about your life will help you to relax and really enjoy the forum then I think its a good idea. Depression can be a big deal and I can't imagine anyone judging you harshly or thinking you're over sharing for wanting to talk about it.

Keep in mind depression is a scarey subject for some people and unknown territory for others so you may or may not get a lot of feedback, but I can guarantee people will care...
