The 2013 X Factor has just started this last weekend. This years format is slightly different because the auditions are split into 2 parts. The first part is indoors and if the act is chosen they go on to perform live in front of 4000 people

I hope Jon will forgive me for hijacking his thread. I accidentally found this clip of an episode of "Australia's Got Talent" from 2011 that I wanted to share with you. It very much echoes the experience of Susan Boyle in her first audition.

Here's a clip from Britain's Got Talent. It's very unusual in that it is not singing that this group does. They are a group of artists from Budapest Hungary. As one of them says, back home they rehearse and practice in a "theater" that has mice and garbage. But they have their dream. I wasn't even aware of them until now and yet they won the competition in June of this year across the pond.
