Why only 2 updates a week

Just wondering why Broke Straight Boys is now only providing two updates a week. I have been a member for years and we have always seen 3 a week.

Just wondering why Broke Straight Boys is now only providing two updates a week. I have been a member for years and we have always seen 3 a week.

The long story talked about changes in corporate structure and the introduction of the JustforFans site. At that time scenes were going to come out every three days. Suddenly, though, it became apparent that they were rotating coming out every three or four days. Then, when Axel Green debuted not only did get get his usual "Getting to Know..." BTS before his solo but we got an "After the Solo" bonus. The same happened when Casey debuted.

But then things got interesting. It appears each scene is getting a "Before" and "After" BTS while the number of scenes drops from three to two. My only qualm, though I understand that I really should have no qualms because these are FREE and I don't have to watch them if I don't like them, is that these aren't really anything new. We have always gotten the "Before" BTS but it was simply at the beginning of each scene. It may have been maybe a minute or a minute and a half shorter but they nonetheless covered the same things. Likewise, the "After BTS" used to be done with the boys immediately after a scene, though that hasn't been done in a few years. The difference is that now they are stand alone items that can take up days to make the one fewer scene seem less evident.

If this seems a bit confusing, I'm sure that's considered a feature, not a bug. Personally I would have been happier if Mark had just come out and said, "Listen guys, we've been in this business for several years and over the years we have had to adapt to change to stay viable as a business. We have the new house to pay for and in order to bring you the best models available those costs have gone up as well. In order to maintain our high standard of content to you at a reasonable price we have found that we have had to reduce the number of new scenes we introduce each week. Our updates will now be on Sunday and Wednesday. We will offer more Behind The Scene content to help offset this and hope you will understand and enjoy the great models and scenes we have offered over the years". See? That would have been easy peezy. I could understand that and not have to try and figure out what was happening where and when.

Short answer? It was a financial necessity. That's a reason I can live with. What I don't like is being treated like a mushroom; kept in the dark and fed a lot of shit. I'll see if the content is worth being treated like I could never figure this out.

However you slice it and dice it, the bottom line is that Broke Straight Boys is obviously in trouble. Is the end of Broke Straight Boys in sight? I sure hope not, but whatever happens, it's been a great run and I am not abandoning the ship. But I'd be lying if I said I was optimistic about the future here. Time will tell.

I sure hope not, but whatever happens, it's been a great run and I am not abandoning the ship. But I'd be lying if I said I was optimistic about the future here. Time will tell.

We have taken on more responsibility to improve our sister sites College Dudes and Boy Gusher We now fly in models and have them all tested so that in itself is a huge expense. So now we are spending more money so I wouldn't say Broke Straight Boys is in trouble but we have restructured some things to make sure we continue to be here for a long time. We also added a new photographer for better photographs so we have hired new people as well. I also added Just For Fans because now that models can create their own porn it is hurting us so we had to jump on that platform somehow. We also deal with our content being stolen so there is many many factors at work here. We made changes so we are here for the long haul. 21 years in the adult industry and counting so I think there should be some trust and faith in us or at least I hope lol.

I also added Just For Fans because now that models can create their own porn it is hurting us so we had to jump on that platform somehow. We also deal with our content being stolen so there is many many factors at work here. We made changes so we are here for the long haul. 21 years in the adult industry and counting so I think there should be some trust and faith in us or at least I hope lol.

Welcome to Broke Straight Boys and thanks for posting. I pretty much echo what I already wrote. We are always trying to improve things and recently I think our models have got way better too. We appreciate your membership and comments.

What we heard was some info that then didn't coincide with what we got (ie. scenes would come out every three days which wouldn't always mean 3x a week but then that didn't happen). When that happens I'm sorry, but it doesn't lead me to feel all that trusting. I can live with the change but I think the roll-out was pretty weak. THAT was my complaint.

Glad someone else said what I was feeling, and the changes came conveniently after renewing an annual membership. How about granting current members a discount to the other websites? Otherwise what's to keep members from going between the different sites, cancelling one and moving to your others? Just needed to vent... Thanks
