With the latest questions being asked about the sexuality of Brady Bennett, I must admit the issue of the sexuality of the models have become blurred in recent months. At one time, I was only interested in seeing guys who I could believe truly lived the straight life outside of the studio. But through posts on here by Sha and somewhat by Mark, and other things I've read on other forums by our former BSB1 director, David Adamson, I've come to realize that the days of watching a guy's first gay experiences, right here are basically over.

I never believed that a true 100% straight guy, a Kinsey 0 would or could do more on here than a jerk off solo or perhaps letting a guy stroke or suck him off, but we used to get guys who may have believed in their own minds that they were true pussy hounds who would never kiss or suck or fuck with another dude, and used the money as the excuse to come here. But now with social media everywhere, these kind of guys have come to realize that if they dabble on a site like this, in very short order, their hometown buddies will know and their family too.

So the best we can hope for in my estimation is a cute guy who is inexperienced in gay porn and we are watching him for the first time perform with another guy. They all seem to do cam shows now, and this site may be their next step in "coming out" publicly. So now my criteria have changed to finding an enjoyable young man to watch here. Brady may have a boyfriend, but as long as he did not lie about his experience with other sites, they I can enjoy watching him and a Zander Floyd type too, as they are so damn pretty.

My favorites are still an Ayden type who has a girlfriend and a son and lives a hetero style life off camera, and Abram still appears to me to be mostly hetero and thus far has played the masculine top role on Broke Straight Boys, so I have changed my standards for a top model. I love Ronan Kennedy because he is so cute and comes across as masculine, but the days of a Mike Robbins or a Diesal or a Jimmy Johnson seem to be a thing of the past and so I am going to stick around, (for the forum) but also for the scenes with hot handsome, sexy masculine young guys, who are fresh faces, new to gay porn.

I always said there is no such thing as straight. Even the guy who still says he is will still have fantasies of having sex with men.
What goes on in a video here or elsewhere makes no difference what they say, it's what they do. If a guy is 100% gay and says and acts straight then sucks and gets fucked in the video does it really matter? To me it doesn't. Your cock will tell you. If you get a hardon and want to jerk it off while watching its good for you if not then it didn't work for you. Isn't that why members are on here? We aren't social workers to help these guys we are here to get off. We seem to forget that.

But Joey, all of our opinions on sex are based on our own individual sexual desires. You have mentioned in the past that you have children, so obviously your sexuality in the past has included heterosexual sex. I have never come close to a woman's vagina and so it is difficult to make a blanket statement about no such thing as straight or gay. We are all different.

And for me, I came to Broke Straight Boys because of my strong desire to see asssumedly straight guys dabbling on the other side which is my thing. So whereas the sexuality of the models has never been of paramount importance to you, it always has been for me, and my cock gets it's hardest watching a video when I believe it is a real straight guy performing for my pleasure. But I am now going to let my strict interpretation of straight slide as I want to continue here under the new parameters of sexuality and the current state of gay for pay porn.

I have to agree with your line of thinking on this Mikey. While I'm not as much of a die hard as you about the models' need to be straight in order for me to enjoy their work, the shift over the last year towards more openly bi and gay models has been difficult for me also. In years past I might have simply ignored certain models who came across as effeminate, tripped my gaydar or otherwise admitted to being bi or gay. Even many Broke Straight Boys-1 models were probably bi or gay. But we could at least maintain the fantasy and illusion that they were not.

With the current state of the porn industry as it is in general, I'm sure it's very hard to find many truly straight guys who are willing to do gay shit on camera for cash. lol They know the internet means forever. They know social media and the ubiquitous cell phones that have now become handheld computers, mean that nothing will stay a secret or stay confined to strictly one private website for long. So while that doesn't mean that no truly straight models will ever grace the site again, it does mean that going forward they are much more likely to be the exception rather than the rule. Of course finding as many of those exceptions as possible is what the site's mission statement has been about from Day 1.

What it means for me as a member is that I will have to adjust my expectations or I will not be able to enjoy the porn as much as I would like. I don't blame Broke Straight Boys for this. I know it's a symptom of the state of the entire industry right now. I do encourage them to keep looking for the straightest models or at least those who are as straight looking and acting as possible. I can still enjoy the more twinkish models like Kodi and Zander Floyd as long as they are not overly effeminate. If a model is found out to be bi or even gay I will still try to enjoy his work. It's a tough adjustment though. :/

I am in basic agreement with both you and Mike. A truly straight guy (if they still exist) would need to be desperate to do porn (gay or non-gay) because once done, the book is open for the the whole world to see. No such thing as a secret anymore. When the guys apply here, the application does ask the question: Gay, Straight, Bi. Based on the application, those that look interesting are interviewed where they are perhaps intensly question, which I assume would inlcude their sexual preference(s). The interviewer then makes a decision Yes or No. I've interviewed thousands for retail jobs. Some individuals are like professional interviewers and know how to act and answer to get a job. I've hire great interviewers who turned out terrible in their jobs, and have hired less than stellar individuals, who turned into stars. What Mark and Company are going through is no different. They are making judgement decisions based on written and oral discussions. Mistakes will get through!!! Broke Straight Boys more than likely does not have the time to research every type of social media to see if they have been around. If they did, we might only get a coupe of updates a week as they would not be finding many "virgin" candidates. So we all hope they "fit into the straight first time guy mode". If they should flat out lie, then they get the ax, simple as that. The question how big is the lie = getting fired?

I agree with Mikey that as long as the illusion is there of a straight guy having sex for the first time is there, I'm happy. Is that not what we all want?

Live Long and Prosper,

Vicekid

DAMN look at all forum big wigs posting on the same thread!! I feel like a newbie only being here since 2010....

I was and I am still as gay as anyone here. I married and wanted children so I engaged in heterosexual sex and family life. I liked and still like the straight lifestyle. I'd be willing to bet that many men that are members are just like me. Over the many years in my lifetime I met men just like that Currently another guy like me meet and we having fun together. If I was born later I would probably be married to a man. As far as Broke Straight Boys is concerned people like that are right here and want to see the same porn.
Tampa said "In years past I might have simply ignored certain models who came across as effeminate, tripped my gaydar or otherwise admitted to being bi or gay. Even many Broke Straight Boys-1 models were probably bi or gay. But we could at least maintain the fantasy and illusion that they were not. " It's simple don't ask don't tell in interviews. There are many straight acting gay guys who you could never know or suspect as being gay or even bi. All in the family had an episode just like that where a very straight customer in the bar was gay and Archey didn't believe it.
What I said originally in other words is to use your sex organ (your brain ) to just watch and enjoy. Imagine that we didn't have forums and you just played with your dick while watching here. Do you think you would be aroused?
As for me what ever Mark and the guys do makes me happy. I don't need to know so much.

I am a big fan of the older scenes and frequently go back and watch them. I think there are some straight guys to be found (i.e Cory and such) I really do love some of those videos: Erik, Jeremy, Scott,

Me too buddy! It's good to know that not everyone thinks that passionate kissing, rimming and cum swallowing are necessary components for a hot Broke Straight Boys scene! :001_smile:

I do too AG!!! Even though Diesal did tons of scenes, he still seemed totally straight to me...

Agree and as far as I know he is still working here in Atlanta. Hope to run into him some day, but this is a pretty big city.

Hey, Mike -

I totally appreciate the dilemma faced by you, and other charter-members of Broke Straight Boys, for whom the mission-statement is important. (And why shouldn't it be? I have a foot fetish - so if I subscribe to a site that advertises that, I expect to see lots of cute feet! Likewise, if you come to a site that advertises straight guys - it's only fair to expect to see lots of straight guys!!!)

Like you and Tampa (for your sakes) I hope that Broke Straight Boys will continue to seek out straight or 'straight-er' models. It's a shame that Tyler White appears to have moved on. . . because he DEFINITELY fit that mold for me. I just loved his saucy attitude, and New Jersey accent. . . and, he is really cute, too!

I appreciate, though, that Broke Straight Boys is still working on it, assiduously. Cage Kafig is still making regular appearances, and he certainly conforms to my notion of a really straight guy. And I think that, given the premise of the site, they will keep working on it.

Mike, the whole social media thing has definitely been a double-edged sword. The downsides, and the dampening effect social and "do-it-yourself" sites have had on subscription sites like this one, we all know about. However, it is possible that there is a silver lining.

I don't know who the talent-scouts are, for Broke Straight Boys, but, my advice to Mark and Sha and the Broke Straight Boys team is - Keep your eyes peeled for prospects on sites like www.chaturbate.com, and www.cam4.ca While sites like that have definitely made things harder for Internet subscription sites (just as, previously, Internet subscription sites made things harder for video and DVD companies): there IS an upside.

With rapidly changing social values, there are a remarkable number of very hot straight guys out there on social media sites who, while they candidly admit they would likely not have sex with a guy, ever. . . have no moral compunctions about showing off for other guys - and are, in fact, even pleased by the admiration and attention. That is a potential pool of great solo artists. Likewise, there are quite a lot of mostly straight but somewhat bi-curious guys, who are similarly not embarrassed at all about showing off, and muse frequently about trying out gay sex - - - and that is the sweet spot, in terms of recruitment.

I've been able, personally, to recruit a couple of straight guys for fetish sites I like - because they told me, straight up, that they needed the cash and were intrigued by the work. I think this should be possible for Broke Straight Boys, too!

Hey, Joey -

I am with you also, in not caring whether a model is straight, gay, or in-between. Like Peter, I am not a fan of super-effeminate guys, but beyond that, if a model has beauty, personality, and great passion and performance-skills, I'm all over it.

However, I think it is important to realize that this site is called Broke Straight Boys, and so a lot of the core membership come here precisely because they find the idea of a straight guy messing around to be intrinsically sexy. It's the same as any other fetish, which is something I understand and respect. There is one important difference, though - if you have a fetish which involves a visible physical characteristic or activity, it's simple as pie: because it's right there in the open, for you to see.

If you have a fetish for straight guys, though - and this is why my heart goes out to people like Mike (and I am not picking on you, M - I just know you speak for many who are the core membership of this site) - it is much more complicated. A model may 'look' or 'act' straight, in stereotypical terms, and not be straight at all - or he may have affectations or characteristics which many people would regard as being conventionally gay, but be straight in his real, personal life. Human sexual orientation is such a complex phenomenon, and it is very difficult for a site like this (short of hiring private detectives to do long-term workups on the models) to hire only those who are genuinely and completely straight. But that's the original mission of Broke Straight Boys, the profound desire and need of many of the members - and hence, the challenge.

Where I disagree with you, Joey, is in the contention that "there is no such thing, as straight." I know that, from an ideological perspective, philosophers from Herbert Marcuse to Michel Foucault, sociologists, and (some) psychologists, have been beating this drum for decades. . . but I simply don't find the argument plausible.

Antiquated and crude as it is, I still believe there is a real insight behind the old "Kinsey" scale. Absolutely, there are lots of people in the middle, who could be attracted in various degrees, physically and emotionally, to someone of the same or the opposite sex, as against their empirically more USUAL inclination. Kinsey was right to say that: “Males do not represent two discrete populations, heterosexual and homosexual. The world is not to be divided into sheep and goats…The living world is a continuum in each and every one of its aspects."

But, it is important to recognize, also, that there ARE quite a number of people at either end of the scale. I'm an almost perfect Kinsey "6". Hard as it is to believe, in high school and university, many, many cute girls wanted to date me - and six women have offered to MARRY ME, over the years. But I have never dated a girl, and never KISSED a girl ~ because I knew, from the time I was six years old, I had no physical or romantic attraction to women whatsoever. And it would have been fundamentally dishonest for me to engage on, on any sort of asymmetrical romantic premise.

Likewise, while I do have a few bisexual male friends (who, while they can enjoy the physical company of either gender equally, usually have a marked preference when it comes to EMOTIONAL companionship, either to the male or the female side); and I have had a few straight friends who have "messed around" with a guy (usually when they were in their teens, and very horny, and very drunk): I also have quite a number of wonderful, luminous, beautiful straight friends who would never DREAM of even letting a guy suck them off. And these are nice, gentle, people, liberal in attitude, who are friendly to gays and are even flattered by other men complimenting them on their looks. . . but who would have a real visceral aversion to any sort of sexual contact with another man. They're just not. . . into it.

My feelings about respecting these 100 per cent straight friends are quite pronounced, because some of them have been the targets of "wishful thinking" and even uncomfortable or even aggressive "passes" on the part of gay admirers, at various points in social situations. . . and it made them feel incredibly unhappy.

Because. . . just as my 100 per cent straight friends have respected and loved me for being 100 per cent gay - - - I think it is important to respect and love THEM, for being 100 per cent straight. While we will all always have fantasies about the truly "unattainable" straight guy, and there is nothing wrong with that - I think it is only morally and personally right to acknowledge (in real life) that YES, there are men who (no matter how hot they are, and how much we wish they would at least dabble on our side of the pond) are completely heterosexual in their inclinations, and happily and confirmedly, so.

"A" XOXOXOXOXOXO
