Recently, somebody asked about Zach but I can't remember which thread we used to talk about him.
I shared, at that moment, that he is on Rehab. Today he made a live transmission on Periscope tot all about him. As part of his Rehab, he has been keeping a diary and he read two entries.
The first one was about his decision to leave drugs behind. The second one was much more sensitive for him and shocking, for me.
He told that he met a couple he found on Grindr. These guys drugged him with GHB and he woke up hours later with his body covered in bruises and scratches.
Some time after that he received a phone call from his doctor. The doctor said there weren't good news. His exams showed he is now HIV positive.
He explained he always used preventive drugs, but the kind of HIV he contracted if resistant to the meds. As English is not my first language and the TV was really loud in the background of his video, I must have lost something in the way, but he is sure this couple were the ones to give him it and he is sure they were aware of what they were doing.
He ends the video telling people to wear protection no matter what, when going out with people they met on dating apps.
I feel sorry for him... He seems to be a sweet boy and he didn't deserve what happened to him. Luckily he is taking his meds and is undetectable now and I hope he can get his life on track again.

Bart, it was me who asked, & you gracefully told of his rehab. Thanks for the information. I am happy he is undetectable. You can be in good health if you take care of yourself. I have been positive since 1992, with only one bad instance, when I couldn't get my meds. My t-cells average between 1000+ to 800+, lets just hope it is a weak strain & and he takes care of himself. Thanks for information. HIV+ is no longer the death sentence it once was if you, take care. If my outing myself helps someone else, it was worth it , I turned 61 on the 6th of this month with no HiV related problems, I hope it gives others prospective.

I chat with Zach from time to time. Yes, he did report the people who did this to him but as he doesn't know their names it's not likely anything can be done.
That’s a real shame. I’m so sorry their are people like that out there. Thanks for letting us know.
