Video of the year!

So here we are again at the end of another year. I was reading the comments on the latest Broke Straight Boys offering and remembered that I had once proposed, and would like to again, that we choose a video of the year.

I don't know how to set something like this up, and frankly, I don't have the time at the moment, but, someone else may want to run with it. It may even take a couple of people to put together.

First, someone should choose, let's say, the top 10 rated videos of the year.
Second, place these videos in a poll to see which of the top videos is the clear favorite.
Third, set up the voting, so that both forum and non-forum members can vote.
Fourth, I don't know what else! Someone please help!

Please share your ideas and lets see if we can make that happen this year.

OK my imagination is totally running wild thinking there could be a Broke Straight Boys award show dinner a model at every table fans could buy tickets and vote on best bj, best bottom, best newcomer, best video, best performer in a solo. Kind of a lofty idea but what a way to get started by having a best video of the year vote.

I am so glad you (someone) responded. I was afraid everyone else loathed the idea, as no one else responded.

I was thinking further on the subject. Perhaps all forum members could vote for their own 1 (one) most favorite video of the year, between now and say, Dec. 31! Then we could take the top 10, or 5 who received the most nominations and from there present a poll for all to vote on. Again, just a thought.

I think you have a great idea there JLipps. I also have to sat that I love your new avatar! There's little doubt in my mind that Blake deserves model of the year. Though I can also think of a few other good contenders. Jason and Colin, just to name a few.

We could have alot of fun with a poll that took votes for several different categories.

I think I have splooged to this video over 100 times, and (speaking personally) I would be up for a re-match, ANYTIME: if the guys would like it! (Also, I have to say, I think that occasional re-matches are a super-good and super-SEXY idea, for a lot of us fans - - - because when the guys know each other, and like each other, round TWO is going to be EVEN BETTER: n'est-ce-pas???)

It is obvious you have put some time into forming your eloquent words on their behalf. Your words ring so very true and I fear that we have already OR are about to lose Jason entirely due to management's lack of responsiveness in utilizing them both, but especially Jason, in more Broke Straight Boys updates. Should this premonition of mine comes to pass, it will represent an unforgivable tragedy for both of them and all their supporters for a senseless and unnecessary loss of our best talent currently. I don't know anything that would suggest that Jason has parted ways with us other than his prolonged absence from posting or appearing in recent scenes.

In these optimistic times of the Holiday Season, I have no other direction to go other than assuming the very worst concerning Jason's tenure on this site. I hope management proves me wrong in the near future and bring Jason back for all to appreciate once again!

Stimpy, you know that I share your admiration and affection for Jason. I have always loved his openness and honesty in his posting on this forum, and his BTS appearances, giving us an honest behind the scenes look at the workings of both BSB1 & BSB2, not to mention his fine work on camera as well. And of course I spent a memorable hot Sunday afternoon last June with both Jason and Blake among others. Both of these handsome young men treated me like royalty and like I was the celebrity. They both are A+ in my book.

However I unfortunately share your feelings that Jason's days "on the futon" and the bed may be a thing of the past. While it would be very sad for us in the audience, it might be an impetus for Jason to concentrate on advancing in his professional non-porn life, and begin a career with a long range future and hopefully benefits too.

It would be wonderful if I am incorrect about Jason's career on Broke Straight Boys As I've said before, it would be a glorious Christmas present from management to present us with a surprise video of perhaps "Jason & Blake" part 2. What a nice way that would be to ring out 2012. But if his time here is over, I do wish him as much success and happiness as one man could receive. He has given so much pleasure to all of us.

Let us, by no means, be so irresolute, or FEARFUL! Good things come to those who wait, and we who wait patiently, for Jason to return: I am sure, shall be rewarded.

In fact, I am very fond of the managers and owners, of this site. They are kind and responsive, far above and beyond the standard set, by this industry. I must say, that Mark has been so personally kind to me, I am always grateful to him. Over several years, he has never FAILED to answer my questions, solve my log-in problems, or seriously entertain my requests. He is a kind man, and, I think, a GOOD man, and exceptionally dedicated to all his fans, and subscribers. I have FAITH, in Mark!

As you all know, I returned to this site, after a number of years, solely to bask in the reflected glory that is. . . Jason Matthews!!! I am not, by nature, a "site" loyalist, but, a MODEL loyalist. And, whithersoever Jason shall lead me:THERE I SHALL GO!!!!

As we all also know, though, this business, of retailing gay erotica, to the public, is an odd one. I would venture that about 60 per cent of the members of any given site, are attracted chiefly to NOVELTY. And require new models to slake their thirst for new and unaccustomed excitements. Obviously, the management must be conscious of that - for that is where NEW subscriptions come from, and new REVENUE emerges.

HOWEVER, the remaining 40 per cent ought not to be neglected, either. For they are the ones who adopt certain models as ICONS, and will subscribe to a site year-in, and year-out, just for the chance to see the models they LOVE. (I am one such person, and I suspect several of you who wrote on this thread, are, as well ;-) And, a LOYAL and LASTING fan-base is good and profitable, for any company, because it brings with it a consistency and constancy, of revenue. . . .

So (in sum) bringing back favorite models is NO DANGER to the site: it reinforces loyalty, and a sense of CONNECTION to the place, and encourages people to carry on and on and ON, in their subscriptions! In any case, there is NO DANGER in having JASON return - because, he and Kodi have more members'-favorite scenes listed on the front page, than ANY OTHER MODELS!!! The bottom line is: Jason Matthews MAKES Broke Straight Boys MONEY, and LOTS of it. . . and no smart capitalist is going to turn that earning-potential, DOWN.

So, gentlemen, if you love JASON, keep asking for his return, and, I am SURE it will happen. As Churchill said: "VICTORY - victory at all costs, victory however long and hard the road may be: for, without victory, there is NO SURVIVAL!"

As much as I love Jason, who has been such a great stalwart and supporter of this site since bsb1, I must agree with Mike and state that Jason's personal career must come before his Broke Straight Boys That said, Broke Straight Boys management are so devious that he may well be away doing something for Broke Straight Boys TV or some other project. Feedback is rubbish these days.
