Everyone is entitled to their opinion of course. In your opinion how could "feminine" Aiden, the one who kids half his size and weight have more masculinity in one arm, have possibly made it through Marine basic training? Any opinions on that question?

Maybe his "acting" abilities have decline since leaving the marines, or maybe they have improved to the point of taking on the persona of an effeminate guy, I don't know.. Getting through marine basic training doesn't guarantee masculinity, doesn't change your voice or mannerisms. I am sure there are a number of females that could make it through marine basic training as well, does that automatically make them "masculine". I am just "over" hearing the term "marine" as a means of trying to making one masculine when he isn't. I don't care how many muscles you have...I am sure that Aiden is a very nice guy. That isn't being questioned at all. I just don't need to be convinced that he is this big butch, masculine, dude when it is obvious, to me, that he isn't. I think that if his prior service in the Armed Forces had not been played up so much, we wouldn't be having this conversation!

I know a lot of straight Marines who would take issue with your words: "Getting through marine basic training does not guarantee masculinity." However you do raise a fair point that female marines go through basic training as well (although that gets one into a second debate over whether male and female marines are held to the identical standards in basic training or gender appropriate strenuous standards).
