thumbs up and down

Just got back from a break from the site. I dont see the thumbs up and thumbs down options anymore on the episodes? why did they do away with this? Any one know?

as I recall the thumbs up or down didn't advance dialogue. the option to comment remains.

But it was a very easy way for anyone to express an opinion even if they didn't want to write out a comment. I say that Johnny speaks the truth.

there was a time when you could go to an episode page and make comments. there was an option to give a thumbs up or a thumbs down on any comment. you could reply directly to any comment. you could make a separate comment.
when the thumbs up or thumbs down was floated for the forum, it got thumbs down.
there was not a feature where you could give the episodes themselves thumbs up or down. the 1 to 5 rating scale is all I can recall.
I do recall a time when post on the forum said that people gave thumbs down on every comment. that and the fights gave the episode pages look like a cheap bar-fight.
am I remembering something that did not happen? am I opining on the same subject you are?

You are absolutely opining on the same subject another1. I am one of the folks who never has commented on those pages and also compared the comment page to a low class bar, where the forum is a high class lounge. But I am also a yenta, and like reading a tabloid and I like to read "the dirt" too, so while it did have a sleazy feel to it, I'm kind of sorry it is no longer there.
