This Forum is pretty unique.

This Broke Straight Boys site is unique

I guess there are other site where you chat with porn Stars, but I don’t think it has been done in quite this way.

And congratulations to BluMedia for the let’s say attitude differences that led up to your move. For sheer brilliance you can not knock the incredible story of “Jimmy” who rose from being despised straight homophobe, till now (after many gay stops along the way) you can literally touch “Jimmie” at every outdoor event BluMedia throws And now famous Forum celebrities are retracting their distaste. So many markets were covered in the Jimmie story - hot straight guy exploring his sexuality; he must be a big draw for the many women who are on the Forum. I’m sure Jimmy’s heterosexual life must be better than ever! The Women’s Market must be growing. The decision to put him on the Forum was the final triumphal move, unless they plan to rent him out to Forumites (through a lottery or something}.

"Jimmy" couldn't have done it without "Rob", who is a terrific diversionary element, soaking up with a smile all the disgruntled bile that was roiling around the forum when he made his serendipitous debut here. In a way the revised, reinvented version of "Jimmy" is a textbook rebranding job, the original model quietly recalled and the more genuine one advertised to a grumpily mollified public.

The lightning marketing operation that went into action was as brilliant as the original "Jimmy" phenomenon was erroneous, unsubtle and even offensive to some. The day the interview on that awesome baroque bed came out on BTS I posted that I was sorry for the kid with his arms crossed, leaning away from the other guys with a hurt smile on his face, looking off stage left. He'd been marketed as someone he wasn't and was being dissed as a result. It took a lot of explanation and effort to reveal what a sweet kid he is, but it was worth it. Thanks "Rob" for your part in that.

Slim, I will defer to your better judgement. What you see as an "erroneous phenomenon", I saw as a well-planned, intentional story arc. Maybe I like your version better than mine.

jimmy was presented as the prototypical Broke Straight Boys
he came with all the qualities one finds in a straight boy. frankly, sex is what a guy has with himself or a girl.
after years of watching bi and gay guys pretending to be straight and having sex with a guy for the first time, it was refreshing to see a real straight boy.
while i think jimmy is evolving, i think the biggest change has been in the way people looking at jimmy.

Thanks in large part to the rebranding campaign...

I love your version MUCH more than mine, but it means that the seething outrage that enveloped the forum as the unexplained Jimmy shuttled from one disastrous episode to the next was part of the plan, and I just can't, uh, see their taking that kind of, um, risk...

behind the scenes, live appearances and posting to the forum is just plain, old good marketing.
whether we come to this place by accident or by plan, the lesson learned is marketing is the key.
branding. rebranding, ok.

You may be right, but I'd love to know the "True BluMedia Story"! Maybe they figured if they were going to make this big move/change, then lets go whole hog and take the risk. I suspect we'll never know.
