Still pissed at NetBilling

Just a couple of months ago, it was very simple to cancel one's account when it had been processed by NetBilling. Now it is nearly impossible to ensure one's account is properly canceled. What happened?

I've complained about this on the Broke Straight Boys message board before, but I received an inadequate response. I think I shall join the dozens of others who will no longer be returning to this site --- both because of the content change (which I really don't care for) and especially due to the hassles of terrible customer service.
 
You got me to look.

I had a problem where I was double billed by both Epoch and Netbilling. I canceled the Netbilling subscription. After your post, I checked and it had been rebilled on my credit card. I called them again and the very competent woman on the line said yes, the cancellation was in their system as of 4/11, but that was also the day the account rebilled. I told here I didn't want that. She typed away for 30 seconds and said, OK, I have refunded the amount and re-run the cancellation. She gave me a confirmation # so if there is any question, I should be able to track it.

Yeah, certainly not perfect, but no big sweat, either.
 
I'm sorry you are not happy with Netbilling. Our main biller is Epoch and it is very easy to cancel with them. Netbilling is secondary and their cancel process is not very automated but that issue is on their end not ours. All you have to do it email us to cancel, pretty simple. Also as smiley said we are very quick to refund for any issues so I don't understand why you are so pissed.

Mark, you should know by now that some people will complain about absolutely ANYTHING.
 
Another FYI. Epoch have always been easy but the last few times I have had to cancel it has required a phone call. They are always helpful, but not being able to click a button to cancel is a bummer. THIS IS NOT A COMPLAINT, but an opinion. I liked not having to do the extra steps that are now required.
