This means that full transfer of wealth in the form of taxpayer dollars went from public sector projects to private industry hands. This is supposedly what the GOP continues to campaign against, the wsteful use of taxpayer dollars for boondoggles and fraudulent projects.
Most of the military men and women who were killed for Bush and Cheny's lies came from middle class white collar families and lower middle class white collar families and working class factory blue collar families because their lives are deemed ultra-expendable by the super-rich like Bush (during Vietnam War - he was in National Guard and never saw any real combat- facilitated by father who was a Congressman and then head of the CIA) and Cheney (received Vietnam draft-deferment yet pro-war).
2) Famous people and Downtown Abbey:
unfortunately we live in a hypermediated world where the claim to fame bowdlerizes any real accomplishment rooted in formal education directed toward mastering some true skill [cobbler/cooper/baker/carpenter/spelunker] or specific pieces of arcane information as synthesis [human sciences/liberal arts/physical sciences/theology]- [one that adds value to humankind ]- and so fame has become cheapened and putrified in the form of fetid prostitutes like the kardashians, the british royal family, kanye west, poison, britney soears, justin bieber, cee lo green, any country&western singer crooning about patriotism, beyonce, jayz. honeybooboo - these people do nothing worthwhile yet we are subjected to numerous stories about them and their spectacle manure-filled existences....
3) About a letter a father left for his just-out gay son:
There are always conditions on love because every relationship has expectations be those expectations realistic and human or inhumane and soul-destructive. This is a case where the parents had decided that in fact their son's sex choice to have a deep romantic + physical relationship with was not such a large issue as to need to destroy their child's soul, heart and confidence. Remember all parents draw a line somewhere as to what they will consider acceptable and tolerable with or without comment. In this case the parents appear to have taken the right and humane action.
