Well another poll. It is going to be our President or Romney. Some of us are Republican and some of us are Democrat and others are divided into various interests groups. Those of us who decided to vote will cast votes based on our personal agenda and how we view its importance. Mine is NOT to vote Romney. Romney is a Mormon; the only greater sin in the Mormon Church other than adultery is being a fucking fag. They have spent millions with the main purpose in destroying us. Romney has tried as much as possible to avoid this topic and our President, has in my opinion, reluctantly decided to support gay marriage only because if he doesn’t it will cost him allot of gay votes. I really believe it never depends on who the President is as far as how the economy goes. They all have their special interest groups and it is those groups that control the election. So those of you who believe that your vote will give you a better income are wrong. The President and Romney want you to believe that, don’t. Our only chance as gays is to forget the “better” lifestyle preached by both and vote AGAINST the FAG HATER ROMNEY and the MORMONS and every other church condemning us to hell.

Shit, all that work, can you just move it to general site for me?

Thanks for your unsolicited but welcomed response!

I am not going to vote on the poll because I am British, but if I was American then I would vote for Obama.

Dear fair-minded jon,

Isn't it sad that the objective record has been so twisted today almost beyond recognition on domestic televised NEWS due to "political-spin doctors" and other brokers of pseudo-news like FOX-NEWS, It has its own agenda influenced by the publically disgraced Rupert Murdoch, to follow blindly the Republican Party & Tea Party hard-line, irrespective of the actual objective facts. While I have no knowledge of your NEWS sources, I am indeed fond of watching BBC for objective reporting of international news along with our own Public Broadcasting System, MSNBC, and CNN found nationwide.

We have seen this "ploy to misinform" used before successfully on Democrat Presidential candidates, as it happened to Pres. Jimmy Carter (with Carter's committment to extending basic Human Rights) thereby denying Carter - "a Nobel Prize Winner" much deserved a second term as President. Virtually all demigogues prefer emphasizing "half truths" to generate their inaccurate spin.

Obviously, this Republican tactic to "misinform and obstruct", certainly "sounds ethical enough on the surface," but relentlessly pounding half-truths into the minds of those vaguely engaged in fact-based political discourse is merely propaganda and nothing more. This is among their favorite avenues "to win by misleading the public enough to achieve Republican election goals"! This was fully activated once Obama came to the Whitehouse. Republicans went on record dedicated more to seeing Obama fail than seeing our country succeed.

This tactic was deliberately borrowed from Joseph Goebbels, "Propagandist in Chief" of the "Propaganda Ministry" during the Third Reich to essentially win by constantly repeating "lies and half-truths until these are perceived by the masses as truths". In other words, "brainwashing on a grand scale!

Two other ploys that they engage are to "demand proof of actual citizenship" at the election poll for people that have a lifetime of voting legally without having such proofs in the past in order to vote. Another way to distort the election results is to mathematically redistribute voting districts according to party lines to further confuse and skew low-income voters by moving the locations of their usual polling place, increasing their inconvenience getting to vote. Republicans have always benefited in elections by further restricting voter access, erecting more barriers for their participation. This especially negatively impacts black and hispanic minorities seeking to simply to vote legally as originally intended.

When it is said that the "Republican Party was the Party of Lincoln" in its infancy. Just realize this is nothing more than a "technicality" and has little in common with today's marketing of Republican truths against today's minority-unfriendly/women-unfriendly/alien-unfriendly Republican Party thought.

Sincerely,

Stimpy

It doesn't matter where you live when it comes to presidential or government elections as it is in our case. The press will choose who they will back - as Murdoch's right wing press do and similarly the ex Robert Maxwell's left wing press do. In the uk there is the Independent newspaper but even that is right of right if you understand what I mean.

British TV coverage, especially the BBC, has to be more careful. The BBC being public owned and paid for, has to appear impartial and give all parties - even the British National Party, a fair airing. But the interviewers are very clever and after a while, even on the BBC, you can see which direction they are heading.

On voting day, you can either vote the traditional way at the polling booths which open from 7am till 10pm or you can vote using the postal voting system, which I do. This has to be sent a week before, so the disadvantage is that if any party fucks up or excels in that week, you've already made your voting decision.

Party manifestos or pledges as you may call them, are not worth the paper they are written on. They promise this and that and very rarely do the fulfil their pledges. And when the elected get into government all they are concerned with is the next 4 years and do nothing to cover any long term issues such as infrastructure improvements.

When I read back what I've written I'm saying, why the hell do I vote ? I vote because then I have the right to complain or praise their actions. If you don't vote then you lose that right, in my opinion.

Mark, what are you talking about? This topic appears to be in the correct place. Was it not before?

Republicans have become mean spirited! Can you imagine the party of Abraham Lincoln has become what ot has become?

Obama all the way! ☻

There is a good article about Obamacare in today's Sunday Times. They're also stating that because it is going through that this will become one of the nastiest elections on record.. Worth reading a Brits view of it all.

WELCOME HOME, MissDeidra - Obama needs everyone's support!

Obama all the way! ☻

Dear MissDeidra,

I could not agree with your pronouncement more!!! Furthermore, I could not have been happier to see the "evil forces" getting defeated with the latest and most surprising announcement from the Supreme Court. After Holder getting cited with "Contempt of Congress" by the lynchmob mentality of the Republican "Control-freaks" occupying "the House". It seems we are once again at war, but this time it is our "billionaire 1%ers and Big Business wanting to, aws in the now famous movie -
"The Invasion of the Body Snatchers"

begin to develop human-like hearts and take complete control by buying the entire political process out from under our very feet, with full-approval cuming directly from our currently Pro-Business Supreme Court!

:999::welcome9: BACK, MissDeidra! :999:

I sincerely hope that all...

"prior-existing conditions - health issues..."

have been successfully resolved! :cheeerleader:

Sincerely,

Stimpy

Lol. I thought I would be all stealthy and just sneak on in and nobody would notice. Not sure if I am here to stay, but I have been away for quite some time so I have some catching up to do. (= It is nice to be greeted so warmly. Stimpy, my health issues are resolved. Only one bad thing is I was made redundant 12 weeks ago when my Blockbuster closed. So I am on the dole trying to find my next adventure. Which right now is watching MLB.tv, playing my PS3 and reading loads of internet fanfiction between interviews. Hope everyone is well. I see some people posting I hadn't expected! How wonderful. XOXOXO
