Purpose of the Forum & purpose of posting?

1) When first joining Broke Straight Boys one always assumed that only members could post in the Forum.
Given this assumption one assumed that the Forum was a membership perk wherein members could share opinions or any other member to alert members to personal interests to determine if anyone else shared a quirk.
2) It has never been clear as to how the Forum was moderated as some posts would mysteriously disappear without explanation while those posts of other members seemed to be favored.
3) There have never been any clearly posted rules as to what constitutes a "correct" Forum post. Some posts have been withering personal attacks while others have been jubilant plaudits intended to uplift the spirits of Broke Straight Boys models and still other posts have been intended to inform about hospitalizations due to horrid illnesses and deaths of loved ones.
4) The Forum has been used of late to find out information about the posting dates for new sex scenes from the Broke Straight Boys-owners. This seems to be a legitimate use of the Forum.
5) Given that the Broke Straight Boys exists in a democratic republic the questions that arises are these: 5a) IS THE FORUM MEANT TO BE A FREE SPEECH INSTITUTION FOR Broke Straight Boys MEMBERS AND SHOULD NOT BE MODERATED? OR 5b) COULD BE MODERATED BY POSTING RULES? or
5c) is it a private exclusive toy where some forum-posters have more privileges? or
5d) is the Forum meant to be a channel through which the Broke Straight Boys-owners can explain why and how their site is changing and whether they actually care about what members think and can explain how they have implemented member suggestions and concerns that are worthy and reasonable?
****6)Finally what is the current raison d'etre for the Forum as concerns the Broke Straight Boys-owners?

Broke Straight Boys has a fantastic archive that is on par with Bel Ami and Staxus and Helix and Fraternity X and Sketchy Sex and Tylersroom!!!!

I think that’s a good way to state it. He doesn’t participate he just posts new threads that are often pretty crazy. Did I really say that? Maybe eccentric. Lol,

In all seriousness, I have no idea sometimes. I have posted a couple of questions recently and they have gone unanswered. I’ve written messages to Sha about new talent that have also gone unnoticed. I think I’m in the doghouse...lol

1 bulletin board access is available to site subscribers, to participate subscribers sign up and provide unique identifiers (i.e, username and password ) different from site username and password.
2 The provider of a bulletin board has no duty to display every entry.
3 Defining what makes a correct post is hard to do. Like porn, you know what it is when you see it,
4 Use of a in house bulletin board as a newsletter is a legitimate use.
5 The articles of amendments to the u. s. constitution do not cover private bulletin boards.
6 Management has always shown a strong interest in promoting posting on its bulletin board.
I generally don't comment on this poster''s post, mainly because I feel as if I am entering in the middle of a story already in progress.

I'm confused by what it is that you are saying gentry. I've reread your post several times and I don't know if you are saying that management deletes your posts or ignores your posts?

I do follow this forum very closely as I have for years, as I am a bigger fan of the forum in recent years than I am of the majority of current models and scenes, but I digress. But my point is that I think that this is a very open and free forum where there is extremely limited moderation. I am not always complementary about how management handles things, but out of my thousands of posts, I can only recall perhaps one or two that were deleted and it was explained to me why they did that.

As far as Mark or Sha ignoring our questions, that is their right and they have no obligation to explain to us every move they make, every model they hire or do not retain on site. This is their business, how they earn their living and I completely understand their feeling the need to keep some things private, as any business does with what they consider private information.

I did look at your recent posts gentry and it looks like you've been having fun with give and take on the forum. I see you've recently posted about an old model named Jake Lloyd, who I had forgotten about and I and others thanked you for the reminder. You also seemed to enjoy my stories about how Ethan Steel reminds me of the "straight hustlers" that I used to engage with in Fort Lauderdale and you spoke of a bar in Phoenix with a similar crowd back in the day. I also saw recent posts of yours about Casey, Michael Boston and Tanner.

And so it looked like you were enjoying the forum and the back and forth with your fellow forumites. And so I do not understand what you are saying or why you intend to no longer participate. I think you are a great member and seem engaged as I am in both old and new Broke Straight Boys . Perhaps you had a misunderstanding with someone in management which could be resolved. I sure hope so, because I'd love for you to remain active here.
