I'm starting a thread about past forumites who made a huge impact on this forum (good and bad)!!
Maybe say a little bit why they impacted this forum. Also I'm not including current members.
My top 10 in no particular order or importance

1. Johnny- He made this forum his 2nd home and he was never shy about his opinion
2. Beth- The only female member who was as nasty as us!!
3. Ambi- The most sophisticated member who made the worst decisions in life lol
4. Jon- I loved my British bulldog who said whatever the fuck he wanted and didn't care!
5. Betu- The kindest man whom I was lucky enough to call a friend in real life..
6. Noblegg- The worst member to ever have joined this forum. He once said "PC should be euthanized" and lets not forget the pictures
7. Cumrag- I loved reading Frankies stories and his obvious love for Porn Shane
8. Robert- Such a lovely man who started quite a few threads and kept them alive
9. Rafe- Such a character whose beliefs were opposite of mine but we got along great.
10. Damien Kyle- Although he was a model he still posted quite a bit and it was nice seeing the models perspective of the forum critics. And the day I
call "black friday" when he took down Mikeyank and the forumites sided with Damien Kyle lololololol

For context, in your line about Noblegg, "PC should be euthanized"... He was not talking about political correctness. He was talking about our very beloved model Paul Canon. Yes. Noblegg actually went there to say that Paul should be killed off. Obviously N was a very disturbed individual. Other postings of his pointed to pretty much the same thing.

He didn't have issues.

He had subscriptions. haha

Noblegg actually went there to say that Paul should be killed off. Obviously N was a very disturbed individual. Other postings of his pointed to pretty much the same thing.

It is my opinion not to mention the bad apples like Noblegg, but that is just me.

What a great topic, Peter. I will start by quoting one of the most influential people on me and that is Ms.Kianna who said, “I came for the porn and I stayed for the forum”. We had some great ladies on the forum including Ms.K, Beth, who Peter mentioned, LoveLumps, Miss Deidra, (who I had some battles with, but we wound up being friends after she changed her name to “Jinxy”. But in addition to Ms.K my favorite female forumite was Grace from New Zealand. What a great lady!

During my first year of membership to Broke Straight Boys, Mark announced that he was starting a message board for us to discuss the models and the scenes, and I doubt if Mark had any idea how his “Message Board” would take on a life of it’s own. The superstar forumite was the man who coined the term, “forumite” and that was the great Slimvintage, born in North Carolina but living on an island off of Spain. And along with Slim, we had Jayman, Parisnoyd, MarkyMark, the Queen Mother of the forum as she told us her life’s story with her husband, Carl, just to name a few. And rifle who later changed his name to Aquarius, but we all knew it was rifle. Lol

And I agree with Peter that sweet lovable Johnny, (San Francisco hair dresser) became the superstar here with his personality and his unique way of posting. And indeed NobelEgg was the “villain” of the forum, saying all the horrible things that Peter and Tampa mentioned before Mark banned him. What a character!

Honorable mention goes to Scorpio who was part of Mark’s team but also a prolific poster and he started the “10 Random Facts about Me” thread. I also have a special place for a guy with not many posts named bookse. He and I bonded through PM’s and began an off forum correspondence. He was a young guy in the closet in Indiana living with his homophobic parents, but during our friendship, he met a guy and moved in with him and shared pics with me of his partner and the house they moved in together with. And speaking of young guys, I’d be remiss not mentioning elyot1 who was here right until he pandemic hit. He was a very private kid but we shared a great string of PM’s over the years. Oh and of course my buddy, Robb aka Buckeye1 who started many threads including, “Humpday Tales”, which Mark posts on every Wednesday to this day.

I will finish by once again repeating Ms.K’s quote which totally applies to me, “I came for the porn but I stayed for the forum”.

Fortunately if I did see those, I'm repressing it. I do remember his extreme spanking fetish and pics he posted of the aftermath of that. I shudder to even share this. But he liked to spank guys until he could see visible cuts and red excretions. I have PTSD.

After seeing the photos my skin almost crawls if anyone uses his favorite coined "Thank you!" tagline.

I was very surprised when women became members of the forum, many of whom were married. David told us at the time that there were many females who used to write to him that were fans of the site. I hadn’t realized that straight women were into watching gay porn, and the most common answer was a comparison to straight men who watch lesbian porn. Ms. K told us that in straight porn the women often made fake porn noises, whereas in gay porn it was usually real moans of pleasure and not “screaming” fake female noises.

Originally, I was anti-women on the forum. I thought and would say that this was a place for gay men to share our appreciation of guys, but I realized that I was wrong and it is a place for anyone to share their appreciation of the male form. At one point, Mark appointed a moderator for the forum, and gave that person a free year’s membership as compensation for being moderator. I along with a few others was outraged when he chose Miss Deidra, over a guy. And I resisted Ms.K’s offers of friendship to me early on when she joined the forum. I thought it was a place for guys. Again, how ignorant of me. The women added a whole different perspective to our discussions. We also had Milla, a single girl in France who was a virgin and we gave her dating advise, as she told us about the men she tried to date. There was also a Nurse, I think in England, as well as other females besides the names I mentioned previously.

Overall, we were an international family, and I got to know when different members would be on. Jon in England and Robert in Amsterdam would post before work in their time zones. Little Johnny never got the concept of time zones, He living in California was always confused that Tampa in Florida and me in New York were in the same time zone, lol. Most of all, I miss the vast sense of family that the forum provided. The cast changed over the years, but there would often be 25-50 different folks who would post over a day or a period of days. Today, we are a small handful. I keep wishing and hoping that there will someday be a resurgence of active membership here, but I guess I am a “cock eyed optimist”, with the emphasis on cock. Lol

As I said, in retrospect it was ignorant of me but it was just a visceral reaction, and I learned in short time that the women added a breath of fresh air to the forum. And Ms. K, Grace and Beth, among others became among my favorite people here.

Glad, my very best friend is a woman. I honestly don't know why she has such a high opinion of me. I do know why have one of her.
