If you are in the area, join the Broke Straight Boys for our last pride event of 2013. I am headed to the desert with Blake, Kaden Alexander and Sergio for a fun filled weekend. Don't miss out on the guys energy as they are sure to rock this pride event.

glad to see Blake is still active - hope you get Brandon there as well.

Thank you for giving us the heads up Sha. :) I hope you all have a great time.

I remember visiting Palm Springs with my parents about 10 years ago, loved the place - an oasis in the desert. We actually hired a condo in Palm Desert as it was a lot cheaper but very nice indeed. We took the cable car up the big mountain - I can't remember what it was called - and rode on the horses. It was August when we visited and it was 120 degs in PS and about 60 up the mountain - I just wanted to stay up there.

Mountain Goood. Desert valley...baad. LOL

It does sound like a beautiful place though. :)

Hey Sha, I'm happy for the 3 models you mentioned, but was curious if these three were the only ones going to be their?

Yes Stowe it is a November Pride. I am not aware of any other pride events that happen in November.

As usual, Sha, when it comes to this topic you seem always to miss my point or ignore it altogether. In my post, I mentioned nothing about it being in November, because that's not the issue. The issue, as I stated, is that there is yet another Pride event in California which is being attended by Broke Straight Boys

Also while I'm at it, how come there are no BTS from Columbus, Ohio Pride when there are BTS from Pride events held after Columbus?

And speaking of Columbus, on the thread about Columbus Pride, a poster wondered if Broke Straight Boys would be coming back next year? (What a joke!) Mark posted in response that next year plans are not firmed yet - obviously - and there might be consideration given to some international cities. Boy, if that happens, there goes any chance for US cities unless they are in California or Colorado.

But if you go the international route, here are my suggestions: Toronto, London, Amsterdam. Given the dollar/foreign currency exchange rate, these will be expensive endeavors which means a significant cutback in the US. So for the US I recommend 2 cities: Denver - home of Broke Straight Boys and should always be a Pride event covered and New York - given that's where Pride really has its roots and should be covered every year as well.

I agree with you in the last part that NY should be covered on tour, but it can also be a dangerous city. I know it sounds funny considering we are a group of guys attending a gay pride event, but put some alcohol into someone and they become a little too wild at these events. Sha and Mark keep our safety at the top of the priority list when it comes to travel, as it should be. Which is why sometimes we will attend different events than what we "should."

Paul, as someone who has lived in NYC my entire life, I think you are way off base is saying that NY can be a "dangerous city". Yes there is crime here, just as in every big city, however much of it takes place in areas of the city that tourists never visit, nor should they. I can promise you that it is as safe here as anywhere to visit, as tourism is a huge industry, and it is particularly safe at a large event like Gay Pride Day. Our police department is top notch and keeps everything safe and fun. If we can host the Times Square News Year's Eve celebration every year, and next week will be Super Bowl celebration week in Manhattan, so you need not fear crime, if you should attend this year's pride event.

I attended the NYC Pride in 2012 and I met Sha, Blake, Jason, Denver and Cole Gartner and there is a long BTS of NYC Pride including the crew taking the subway to the World Trade Center memorial site, the guys walking through the streets, dining at a restaurant, etc. etc. Please ask Sha is he questions the safety of models visiting NYC. I highly doubt it.

I'm sure that Mark and Sha had their reasons for not attending in 2013, but I cannot believe that model safety was on that list at all. I sure hope you guys return here this coming summer, and I would love to meet you as I did with the others back in 2012.

Mikeyank, I grew up in the NYC area. I can assure you crime is not a reason for not including the city in the pride tour schedule.
in san diego, the festival event is held in a large park area and is a two day event. in manhattan, several blocks in the village are set aside for the festival event and by 6pm booths must be down and the streets clear for normal traffic. I think cost, logistics, duration, and supervision play a greater role in the selection than does fear.

since this thread is about the palm springs pride event, thought I was say that the festival event is a two day affair and take place on a large field.
at this event I got to see blake and Kaden Alexander again and got to met Sergio. it was a great time. it was warm, almost too warm for a November weekend.

What can you tell us about Kaden Alexander and Sergio, Another1?

Is there anything you can share about your impressions of them, their personalities or a fun or interesting story about them? (Without breaking any confidences of course)

tampa, I have to say that Sergio is the same wisecracking guy you see in the episodes. interestingly, johnny and the opening chat reveals pretty much the Sergio that I encountered. of course, I had more time to talk to him and watch him interact with others. watching with Kaden Alexander, I got see the friendship that had developed between them.
here I where I say the bts give you insight into who Kaden Alexander is.
I have to admit I focused mostly on talking with sha and blake, but I did enjoy both Sergio and Kaden Alexander.
