So I often give some thought to various comments I read particularly about "models people prefer to remain top". I of course realize that certain physical attributes of a model tend to make them the ideal performer for certain roles ie: Dominant Top, Power Bottoms, etc....then there is the audience of course which at any given time is comprised of people who also: enjoy their sex as bottoms, tops, or fellatio connoisseurs...LOL

What I know about my own "addiction" to pornographic, man on man sexual viewing entertainment, is the need to see a model whom I enjoy, doing something even more provocative than the last scene I enjoyed them in. So, when I see the upcoming scene on deck, there's that hope that....my fantasy will come true?

The more scenes a model that I enjoy is featured in, I realize how many different ways I can watch and enjoy their work. The models who've had a sustained popularity; based on ratings given by members who view and rate them or their scenes, I realize how many different pairings there were and how many different types of performances these models have participated in. While there are some models who have maintained a certain "role status" or they never bottomed or hardly ever topped, the one thing I can appreciate is, they've produced a lot of scenes from which I and obviously other's can enjoy...based on of course, our sexual preference viewing pleasure.

The truth is, while I may not want to see another scene in which a particular model "Bottoms" when ideally, according to how I may see them as full filling the role in my fantasy, I come to the realization that, collectively, they have scenes in their portfolio than span across many different fantasy genres? So in order for that to happen, I guess it's fair that I will see many different roles by the same model. Some I can appreciate, and some that will be better appreciated by others. Thus making some models vast body's of work (scenes here) keeping them in high standings in ratings.

It is probably best that Broke Straight Boys produce scenes with models doing a variety of things as I've discovered over my years on the forum that the fans have a multitude of ideas of what and "who is hot" and "who is not" based on their own sexuality and fantasies. We have had and still have some members who want to see every "straight" boy fucked hard and others like me who want to see the straight types play the more dominant role of topping or receiving oral mainly. And others do not care about the "straight" in Broke Straight Boys at all, so there is no one answer to encompass all of "the audiences" desires.

But looking at the top rated models list, I see a great variety lead by Adam Baer, Brandon Evans, Johnny Forza, Vadim Black, Tanner Valentino and Brady Bennett so there are primary tops and primary bottoms and some versatile but all are "pretty boys" so apparently the looks of the model is the main thing, but the rest is up to the individuals in the audience's personal fantasies which are all up and down the charts.

Wow! I agree with so much of what you said, Betu. In fact, for me it's a lot like actors in regular movies. Those stars who have the most respect are the ones who can vary their roles. That's why I don't mind seeing Ronan Kennedy in the bottom role. But just as important to me is how they handle their role in the scene.They may call themselves "models", but if they're going to be in videos they need to think of themselves as actors. Without a doubt, the best scenes are the ones where you feel the actors "connect". That's going to be difficult if the actors are allowed to stay in the same genre. Since Broke Straight Boys's forte is new talent, I think they need to work on instilling that variety even within a role. It is said that variety is the spice of life. That variety, if nurtured, is going to turn out consistently good scenes as well as some very good models.

I don't know. I just like watching porn. A Old Porn addict am I. So much analyzing takes the fun out of it.There is so much porn on the net now.
If I don't like something I just go on to something else.Over the years I have seen so many models just come and go.
Long as I pay my dues and Broke Straight Boys stays around it's all here. If I want to see it again.There have been a few models here I will go back and watch.
But I'm pretty one and done. Love when people post things I have not seen. Like getting to know the models.
But over the years found out we really don't know them that well. What they want us to know OR THINK.And if Broke Straight Boys ever does go down the drain.
I would miss the Forum and people on it. But for the porn. It is only porn. And there really is so much out there.

Common sense being what it is, it only makes sense that the more scenes a model does and the more varied the scenes are, the more likely his fan base will be larger. But a larger fan base in and of itself doesn't mean high ratings. So many variables: how big the fan base is for each particular type of scene; if that fan base votes; how often the model does scenes which cater to the largest portion of his fan base, among others. It seems to me that the optimum for a model is to do the widest variety of scenes and do them well. That should help him to achieve the largest fan base and if they vote on a consistent basis then go a long way to high ratings for that model.

I can honestly say that at least 80% of the models who have appeared on Broke Straight Boys I have liked. That's what keeps me a member. I like a versatile masculine model who doesn't change his personality whether he's on top or bottom. I like that we can vote/score each model and the scene separately that makes it fair for the model who put the effort in the scene.

Good thread, betu. I pretty much agree with mike and peter. However, I do realize I am in the minority maybe in that I do think that certain straight boys would stay longer if they were not required to bottom.
