This subject has been discussed here many times, but with the latest uproar, I once again must ask if it is a good idea for models to have free rein to post on any thread, rather than in the "models" section. It is great to hear from the boys who are hired to entertain us, but at the same time, it can intimidate us from being truthful in our assessments of scenes for fear of hurting someone's feelings.

I must mention that we have had models in the past and current ones who seem to "get it", in their interactions with us, the paying members who ultimately pay their salaries through our subscription fees. I would like to give props to Zeno Kostas, John Henry, Ryan Fields and Drake Tyler among recent posters who are always respectful and seem to understand where we are coming from with our praise and sometimes criticisms. I don't have any definitive solutions to this double edged sword, but I did want to mention some of the guys who are always a pleasure to interact with on the forum, where we don't feel a need to hold back our thoughts and opinions as they take it all good-naturedly in the spirit that I believe most of us intend it.

I think they should be able to post. It is no diffrent then twitter performers need to realize that the forum is just a small percentage of members. We are all entitled to our opinion just the same as the performers are. So sometimes you just need to take the criticism. I mean sometimes just type it out and read it. Then think what will happen if I hit post.

I agree! let them post - I feel that the forum should have no restrictions. Why were on the subject, it would be great to have more sexy posts like the Penthouse Forum days...

Mikeyank, you know I've always said this forum was a double edged sword. As far as models go; I think this is a unique "format" for those who've worked with other studios, and definitely unique for the newly appropriated models. While there are comment sections on many sites for feedback, based on my own experience, this is an ON Going dialogue of commentary and thoughts and information sharing. It goes beyond scene review. And, just like a big ole conversation, models will be discussed in all aspects. On the Talk with the model section, which is underused, this is where most members go. Often, not even realizing that a model has posted on the other section.

I think it's nice that the models can and do, interact, give updates and share humor , points of interest and thoughts on the open forum just as they would on the models section. I only advise that they might try to understand that this is a public forum where members find it a place to openly and uninhibitedly, discuss what they are paying to see. It's a delicate balance, more so for them than paying members?

One of the things I am constantly expressing is, each model is an individual. Though we know them as models, they are also individuals with different personalities, back grounds, thoughts beliefs and emotions, just like everyone else. While some may have the ability to respond, not respond, take or be sensitive to comments they read, I only encourage them to read comments and decide for them selves if a response will be helpful or hurtful for them. Some model persons do it well, some might not understand the balancing act.

I guess from reading Vadims' last comment, I am able to understand feelings from both sides:
Members, cause I am one. And from his, what I got was; he felt that his efforts to deliver and help his scene partner deliver a scene which depicted a realistic response, ie: his scene partner was obviously stimulated to arousal by dirty talk and maybe just really verbal! He did what he knew from his experience to do, to make that happen! Good for him, and it obviously worked! But, the comments were that he was over acting his role. Well, we're not on the set, we don't know what these guys have to do for themselves to make a scene satisfy as many members as possible. When he finished that scene he probably felt pretty good about it for both of them. Reading the comments was quite a let down. I would call that a natural response. Where he may have used a different approach was in his response! But, then again, he's only human .

I enjoy Vadim Black and its obvious he gets into his role. I believe he puts his all into his scenes and can understand why he took the reviews personally. He cares and wants to perform well. He's young and passionate and he surely delivers in his scenes if anyone thinks he is too loud or verbal we still control the volume!

I agree about the Penthouse forum type posts Sparty. Why don't you start with a post about what happened at the Big Ten Championship game, off the field???? lol

That is my point Betu, that we are the paying customers and the forum was created as a place for us to discuss the models and the scenes free and openly. If a model wants to go into the review threads they have to be prepared to understand that all of the reviews will not be 100% positive.

I was not a fan of Drake Tyler when he began filming scenes here, as he is the furthest thing from what I consider a "Broke Straight Boys" to be, but through his many posts here, I came to admire and respect him as a man for his intelligent back and forth dialog with us, and when his fans criticized the amount of noise he makes when having sex, he said that he would try to tone it down in future scenes and did not balk and threaten to no longer film scenes here because of the criticism.

You are right, that it is a double edge sword and as a great American president once said, "If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen."

I don't care if they post in here as long as they realize not every member likes every model. If they decide to attack the members, which some models have over the years then the management needs to step in and decide if the models posting in the open forum is really good for business. Me personally was going to quit when Graham said some not nice shit to me, and I realize I'm just one member, But if you get enough members pissed off being talked to like that by the models then lets be honest here there is free porn everywhere we don't have to keep our memberships. Just saying!!!

LMAO - damn I walked right into that... an update is in the making and I will dedicate it to you in particular because I know you will enjoy the details that will be spilling

A few additional comments:

1. No matter where a model posts a new thread, be it on the models forum or the other fora they will show up on the newest topic section of the site's homepage. So we will see them in any event.

2. Mikey cited several models who posted a lot and took what ever critiques given to improve their performances. I would add Blake Bennett to that list; as far as I remember he was among the very first who posted a lot and never made childish treats over critical comments. In fact I can remember when a bunch of us forumites responded on his behalf when some member criticized him for being too skinny. Mikey met Blake at NYC Pride a few years ago; he can attest to how genuinely pleasant and solicitous of members he was then. And I put a lot of weight in mikey's viewpoints because he has been here "forever" and has a keen mind in getting a feel for the type of person a model is.

3. Vadim Black like many in his generation has been shielded to a large degree from enduring the consequences of his words and actions. Threatening to stop filming here, I'd show him the door and as my dear Mother would say, "Don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way out." However the opposite has happened, he got people to rush to his model page to increase him to a rating where he is tied with Gage Owens for #1. But he has to wonder if that was genuine or just part of the game which is being played here.

4. Every body is expendable. The next three models I saw from Broke Straight Boys on twitter seem to be very promising just from their looks. So there are new models in the pipeline.

5. I just have a visceral negative reaction to people who threaten certain things because they think they are indispensible. Vadim Black seems to have gotten a big head from his success with other studios. If he pulls the same shit again, i.e. leaving Broke Straight Boys, I hope it works out this time (Men.com is a far cry from dallas reeves.com). But to Men.com models, seem to be a dime a dozen. But if all that falls through over time, it will be interesting to see if he would be welcomed back a second time to Broke Straight Boys At some point even nice guys like Mark & Sha will not want to be taken advantage of again.

On point two Stowe, Yes Blake was 100% charming and genuinely a hell of a nice guy. He came across to me to be the same genuine and real person that day to me as he was on the forum. I have nothing but great things to say about him. As far as the rest of your post, I also wholeheartedly agree.

What I love about the forums the most is we speak to each other. The "paid help" (disgusting ) are just as much a part of the forums as we are. If I say anything here it is fine for them to respond. This is the beauty of Broke Straight Boys

i like posting on the forums myself i had to learn from my mistake several months ago when i said some nsaty things on here my ratings went down i good amount and still haven't gone back to what they were so always read before i post to stay neutral and not offend .. And to take criticism and get better from it..

Blake was one of my favorites too and always seemed so sincere on his posts. I remember when he moved and had to get rid of his dog - it was tragic for him!
