I'm a bit confused about model's posting rights and regulations. Since the early days of the forum when a few models began posting, management restricted their posting rights, by assigning them names such as "Broke So and So" or "Broke Straight Boys Whomever", and on their profiles there was no option to private message them. I believe it was one of my all time favorite models Mike Robbins who just popped onto the forum one day and both the members and management questioned if it was really him, as he had not gone through protocol and be assigned a Broke Straight Boys model posting name and have the restricted profile. Eventually it was determined that it was him, and he was given the proper posting profile.

Several months ago we had the situation where Damien Kyle was posting things that management did not approve of, mainly in regard to another Broke Straight Boys model, and he and his partner Paul Canon were both briefly banned from posting. After a minor uproar on the forum they were given their posting rights back, but I did notice that for them as well as other models with official names, like BSBTylerWhite and BSBRyanFields, their posts appeared on the boards on a delayed basis, showing that model posts needed to be approved before their comment hit the boards. This is still the case with Tyler and Ryan who appear to be the only models posting under their approved names.

But on February 12th, we saw JamesAndrews begin to post and on February 16th Vadim Black appeared on the forum, but without official names and with regular "member type" profiles, offering forumites the opportunity to exchange private messages with them. Initially when James did it, I thought that he had "jumped the gun" similarly to what Mike Robbins did years ago, and that management would correct their ways, but I am quite surprised that now twelve days later, James can still post without his comments being approved and with the same with Vadim Black, but both Tyler and Ryan's comments need to be approved and appear on the forum on a delayed basis.

I wonder if management has loosened it's restrictions on new model's posting or if there are other issues going on within the site and they are just not paying attention.

Aww, so you mean my PM to Vadim Black declaring my undying love for him might go unnoticed or taken away at some point?

Totally kidding. LMAO.

Well if there weren't paying attention, then your post will certainly highlight your point. The difference between the models that are posting now and those before, is that this lot are not attention seeking. They are also a lot more chilled and seem open to the members critiques.

Distinctive,

Just to update you, the ability to PM Models was taken away several years ago. We can't PM them, nor they us. This was the result of members abusing this priviledge. So the ban was really to protect the models, it does makes sense.

Good to see a new face on the forum. New blood is always welcomed.

Ah, make sense. TY for that. I actually would never PM a model because I feel as though it would be odd and an invasion on my part. On Twitter, I actually have a few celebs that followed me back and I would never in a million years DM them.

That's the whole point of my thread Vicekid, as with the Vadim Black and JamesAndrews, we can PM them, and so I wonder what's up with that???

Apparently this thread did bring this to the attention of management as the two names have been changed to "Broke Straight Boys-Vadim Black" & "Broke Straight Boys-JamesAndrews" with a model profile and no PM feature offered, and I assume that their posts will be monitored now before we see them, as with the other's who currently post, (not many though).

Well, Broke Straight Boys TV "posted" this photo. I do hate the Paul, Damien, Tyler and Kaden Alexander are not in it

I see that my thread has now been officially :hijacked2:

But I'm laughing my ass off at these comments, so keep it up guys!

Mike,

I guess this thread caught someones eye in management. It looks like it was corrected. My guess is that management has other things going on and that Vadium and James just figured out how to add themselves to the forum and management did not catch it until now. I am concerned if management is proofing what the models say before releasing them. While I understand that management needs to keep some things private, as this is a business, but the thought of models post being reviewed or edited concerns me. Perhaps this is why models are not posting. It will be interesting to see if Vadium and James continue to post now.

Mikey - despite your best efforts, there are still forum things I don't understand. How can you tell a model's post was delayed before appearing on the forum?

Hmmmm me too!! maybe time check someplace else out? The forum isn't enough to keep me here:down:

Peter
That my Friend...Would be a REAL Bummer.
I sure agree with Johnny that it would be a total bummer to see Peter and others of the core group of dedicated fans and forumites disappear, but this photo does illustrate what Johnny and I and others have been saying about the caliber of current models compared to the recent past.

No offence to the current group pictured, but check out some past group and duo shots and compare for yourselves.

Because I am so obsessed with this forum and I always check "new posts" when I log on. Right after Damien Kyle & PC had their ban lifted, I noticed that all model posts were delayed to be inserted on the forum. It might be two days later, but their posts were inserted back to the date and time they were originally posted, but only after being approved by someone in management.

You have a sharper eye than I Mikey. I don't know how you figure out if the post has been delayed. Hmmm...
