In order to give the answer, that might imply that I cared to re-live in the slightest. haha For all the good it would do and all the difference it would make after the fact, I strongly disagreed with that casting call anyway.

As I stated before I had very limited choices at that time which the time restraints and schedules. Not my top pick either lol.

Part of me is still pleased at the thought that if you had the chance to do it over again that you either might, or definitely would have, gone in another direction. haha What I didn't care for as part of the fallout of DTLA, is that the honor of being chosen to go on tv further went to someone's head and led him to think that he had actually earned the casting spot based on the merit of his prior (ahem!) performances. And with all these great travel perks and extra cash opportunities being handed to him as near freebies...he seemed to feel little to no incentive to show some gratitude and work harder or step up his game on set.
I shudder to think just how obscene the amount of money was that he made that year. If I saw the number on paper I think I'd probably go into some kind of primal scream. lmao

1) I meant my comment to be a light-hearted jab at you Tampa as I know you have an obsession with "Jimmy Bashing". I still can't quite figure out why he sets you off like no other model ever on this site. Why does the amount of money that you are guessing that he made here enrage you so?
2) The chronology is that Jimmy's last scene was released on Broke Straight Boys in March of 2012. The DTLA series debuted in October 2012, and then when the Broke Straight Boys-TV show was made, Jimmy was again invited back to earn a pay check for a series that debuted in 2016. And so it makes little sense that Mark kept offering Jimmy paying gigs if he really thought that his work did not attract viewers. That wouldn't make sense.
3) Jimmy's overall model rating is currently at 4.03, not among the highest ever, but certainly not among the lowest either. He appears on Page 12 out of 23 pages of models. So obviously there are many members who enjoyed his work here as well as others who did not. Porn and sexuality are very subjective, and so while to you, his work on the site was subpar, to many it was excellent. He played the role of the entitled straight boy doing porn only for cash and not enjoyment extremely well and his success here lead to a long gig at Men.com after Broke Straight Boys where he appeared in dozens of scenes as well. Companies do not pay performers who don't attract clicks on the computer, and with all the gigs Jimmy got, he must have earned his employers money or they would not have kept hiring him.
4) Mark started this thread about Masyn Thorne, who is looking good and apparently will be coming back to Broke Straight Boys, and so I apologize to Masyn Thorne that my little jab at your sensitive spot, set off your Jimmy bashing again. I apologize to Masyn Thorne for taking away from his accomplishment of getting in great shape and potentially returning to Broke Straight Boys!

I'm sorry that I took the bait once more and got riled up (yet again) over Jimmy. I have always tried to impress upon you that my feelings for you personally are totally different and totally separate form my feelings about him. You are a super, great guy. I do agree that memories of him can still set me off like no other model in Broke Straight Boys history for reasons I'm not always clear on. It's like waving a red cape in front of a bull. And I agree it's not a good look on me to not be able to let it go. Part of me would love to respond to some of your questions above in great detail. But I also agree with your point that this thread is not the place and it should revert to positive talk about Masyn Thorne and his accomplishments.
