Yes there is a red thread, or yellow brick road, have your pick, within Broke Straight Boys.com For me their names are Jason Matthews (Model) and Mark (the owner)

Jason so young back then... so cute, evolved with this site, and when I think of Broke Straight Boys.com I think Jason Matthews. Seldom a model stole my heart, yet there is an exception to every rule. Am I too late?

Show proof how good the third director / pornographer of Broke Straight Boys will be?

Bless him with Jason! A masculine boy, not faking whenever possible, giving a scene his best shot, being the growing boy he is, that stole my heart big time.

Get over it guys.. Jason has gone but not for cotton. I wonder if any member past or present got to know him so well that they are still communicating with him. It's not healthy to keep posting threads about jason because it's like promising the world and getting nothing.

Your choice, and your wise counsel, Jon. I'm a mad Celt, though, and fiercely loyal to the models I admire - and that's where I am coming from. I am not promising anything to anybody - just remembering the "good old days". (Scots never forget.)

Hello to all, my name is Robert and I live in Amsterdam (Europe).

And I believe anything is possible... Sometimes dreams can come true!

Returning here, finding out Jason is gone, disappoints me big time. All models may be replaced as far as I am concerned, but not Jason.

It's seldom wise to get rid of stock that pays high dividend. I miss Jason's face, laugh, kindness and his worries. Broke Straight Boys should ask Jason back, the two invested a lot in each other!

Gone but not for cotton? I've never heard that expression before. Is it a British thing?

Christopher - no, it isn't. Unless I am mistaken, Jon is both punning on, and playing off (perhaps unconsciously?) the old Southern tune, and Confederate anthem: "Dixie" (which was actually composed by a Northerner, in the North): "I wish I were in the land of cotton, old times there, are not forgotten. . . " And, et cetera.

And it is a rousing and lovely tune - though, it was used to evil ends, in the past. Begging the indulgence and forgiveness of African-American or Black Canadian friends who read this thread, Christopher, here is the song which gave Jon, the source of his joke.

Oh, dear Robert -

You remind me, all over again, why I love guys from The Kingdom of the Netherlands, so much! (XOXOXOXOXO)

You know - I don't know if I ever mentioned this before, to you, or not - but my first b/f (and the big love of my life, before Mr. K.) was a Dutch Canadian. And my sister married a Dutchman, and she now has her own pair of klompen ~ you know a Dutch boy loves you, when he gives you a pair of wooden shoes!

Robert, my niece, Miss Van S., is 13 now. In a couple of years, it is my dream to take her to The Netherlands, to meet all her relatives, there - they are from a little village called Stompwijk, in the south of Holland. I love my niece, and I am so proud of her! She writes beautifully - and the local symphony has asked her to play the piano for the patrons, in the foyer, before their next performance :) Maybe we will come and visit. . . you??? (Wow, that would be nice :)

About Jason - Robert, I think you are 100 per cent correct. Jason is beautiful; Jason is sweet; Jason lights up the room, the moment he enters it. Though I guess he is gone, now (and some people will criticize me for being nostalgic, and have already done so): Jason is the best model I have EVER SEEN, in three decades of marinating, in gay erotica. (Maybe Ion Davidov, from Bel Ami, is close; and maybe Travis, from CF, is closer, but. . . they are ALL SECOND, to Jason. I think.)

Robert - NOBODY has EVER DONE IT BETTER, than Jason Matthews. How the guys here let him slip through their fingers, is a total mystery, to me. (I think there is perhaps a middle-manager, on Broke Straight Boys, who is not quite as smart a CAPITALIST, as you are, Robert ;-) Jason honestly DOES make me feel sad for the rest - every other model who has ever tried to follow in his footsteps: HERE, or on College Dudes, or on CF, or on SC. . . or anywhere on the Internet. . . . as hard as they try - NONE of them can ever be as sexy as our Jason.

This is just a cold, hard, fact. Which even accountants would understand, Robert. Unlike you, who understands it from your heart.

"A" XOXOXOXOXO

For cotton - forgotten.. it's not that cryptic is it ?

Jon,

No, it isn't. But for some of our American brethren, especially those south of the Mason-Dixon line (like my old friends Rem and Randy, from another board, who ADORED J. Edgar Hoover, thought segregation was just fine, and thought John F. Kennedy was a raving Communist) it is a clear dog-whistle that the "Lost Cause of the Confederacy" was a GOOD CAUSE. And that slavery was not all that bad, really ~ because the slaves were well-cared-for, and treated kindly, and all of that.

Just the WORD "cotton" is freighted, heavily, with meaning - and, woe - in America. Because cotton was the commodity which slaves were forced to pick. And which poor sharecroppers HAD to pick, for generations after slavery ended. When you utter the word "cotton" in this way (as a joke) ~ though I am a white Canadian ~ I am taking a wild guess that you are punching any African-American reader on this board, HARD, right in the GUT. It's a joke, at the expense of centuries of pain, and oppression.

As a Brit, I doubt that you are aware of all that. You're innocent. I'm just filling you in. But, Jon, a couple of consonants and vowels, littered here or there, can sometimes mean a lot.

Your buddy always,
"A" XOXOXOXOXOXO

P.S. You might think Miss Mahalia Jackson is odd, or funny, because of her corpulent form, bad teeth, and odd wigs. But, my Grandmother revered Miss Mahalia Jackson, and taught me to love her, too - and if you take a moment to LISTEN to her, you will realize she is one of the greatest singers who ever lived: and that every NOTE she sings is full of of beauty, and truth. I cannot listen to Miss Mahalia, without getting a tear in my eye. Because the beauty of her VOICE is UNEARTHLY. And she CHANNELS all the pain of life, and somehow makes it BETTER.

Stupid personal fact: At my high school football games, circa "old days", prior to mandatory federal guide lines, we would stand and reverently sing "The Star Spangled Banner", and then with great exuberance and grandstanding, we sang "Dixie". (southern Florida) The tradition stopped when they allowed black citizens to enter stores and restaurants through the front door, and when they removed the "colored only" sign from above public drinking fountains. and so much more. Wow, we've come a long way today,(satire) what with the black male becoming an endangered species.

Indeed Ambi the Broke Straight Boys site reminds me of the James Bond 007 quality.

After David left as a director I thought it impossible to find a replacement. Have your pick between Sean Connery or Roger Moore, or Daniel Craigh!

Clay was rather a good successor as a director, something I found hard to imagine after David left.

The trouble with Broke Straight Boys is they did not find this third successor. But why oh why lose anything but Jason? He is the model that aimed to rise to occasion and aimed to please, to speak in your James Bond verses Ambi.

Not once Jason failed us, however the third director whose name I can't seem to remember... Why throw away the good with the bad?

Number three was Johnny Robins who was criticized early on for putting his hand in the scenes and coming across with a bit of an abrasive nature, but he grew on the forum and he became a frequent poster, as he told us he wanted to improve and please us. His work was excellent.

Then Johnny got "sick", Damian Christopher told us he was filling in temporarily during Johnny's illness, and then Damian left. Mark last told us that they are "in-between directors", which leaves the question of who is actually filming the scenes???

Thanks for the explanation Mike! slugger.gif

There lies the heart of the problem of Broke Straight Boys.. not with Jason.
